A great upgrade from inexpensive/standard desk chairs
I read & browse daily for hours online. My old chair was slipping in height and really not good for support or general comfort. Overall: This Hon 2.0 is roomy, easy to assemble, supportive, well made & quite comfortable. Fit: I'm 5'6 - my feet in a mid-height position rest comfortable on the floor (I have long legs) and there are height options should I like to adjust. The seat is roomy, comfortable & supportive under my quads towards knees. In the seat forward/or back back position, even more so. I can tuck my feet under & use base spokes to rest my heels. Mechanisms: Everything is fairly smooth. Needs some pressure even when tension is released to tilt back - that's mostly fine - adds to support. Assembly - major chair parts were packed in protective thick plastic. Seat part is fairly heavy. The tool to bolt seat to back is included. Parts were undamaged & sturdy. The only real difficulty I had was snapping wheels into base. Using a hammer to help (only one wheel snapped in with hand pressure) required a few try's, till they were secured. No damage at all using this method. What I like: Comfort & support. A solid roomy chair with a slim profile. Arm & height & depth adjustments work well & relate to function & need. Seat cushion & back mesh is comfortable & accommodating. Lumbar support is supportive and not intrusive. All chair movement & adjustments available are functional though tilt could require less pressure $$ = value for sure.

Solid chair, good choice
Disclaimer: Have only had the chair for a short while, will update if anything notable changes In general, the chair is a major improvement over my last one. The last one was a similarly priced gaming chair that was reviewed really highly for a home office. This one isn't perfect, but in general is probably a couple tiers above my last one. To be clear, although the last one was really well reviewed, I really didn't like it. It was hot (gaming chairs have those tall, closed off backs), the seat was skinny and cramped, the seat shape didn't feel comfortable, and controlling things like the height never felt 100% functional. As far as this one goes... Pros: * Instructions don't make any sense, but as soon as you YouTube how to put it together it becomes apparent that it's INCREDIBLY simple * The arms are really solid, but perhaps more importantly it's really easy to change how far they are from the seat, which is to say you can effectively change how squeezed in you are really easily * The seat is really comfortable * The back is sturdy and breathable, and is both comfortable and feels good for posture * Controlling the height feels really sturdy and has a wide range (will update if the sturdiness begins failing too soon) * The seat can be slid backwards / forwards to change the orientation Cons * Just a tiny bit wobbly (probably less so than the vast majority of chairs at this price, but worth noting in case you think it's going to be one of those super locked-in-place chairs) * The feature that allows the seat to be slid backwards / forwards doesn't 100% lock into place so it slides just slightly during regular use (sorry, it's kind of hard to explain what I mean here -- ultimately I'm pretty finicky and it doesn't really bother me, but it's one of those things I suspect a more expensive chair wouldn't have to deal with). Without this I probably give the seat 5 stars, and in truth probably 4.5 stars would be more accurate for me

Bought this in 2018 - still great in 2026
This chair is outstanding. Bought it in 2018 and still comfortable and sturdy. Honestly, still looks like new. I'm also a big guy (6'6" 280 pounds) and it has been very durable. I did have to get the arm pads (one of them split) and hydraulic replaced after having the chair for 6 years and their support sent replacement parts without hesitation. I have no plans on buying another chair from a different manufacturer - it will be HON from here on out.

Excellent Office Chair
This chair has excellent quality, is comfortable to sit in, and would definitely recommend again. I had purchased my previous chair from a reputable nation wide furniture company and thought I was getting what I was paying for (it was extremely expensive). 3 years later, I gave up on that chair when it would shift forward while sitting on it. I saw HON and knowing companies do use this brand, thought I'll go ahead and get it. When it arrived, I unpacked and had the chair assembled maybe in 15minutes. This is the most simple office chair I have ever assembled. The parts are quality and after using it for the past week, it is definitely worth it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone else.

Disappointed – Stiff, Poorly Designed, and Hard to Return
I am extremely disappointed with this chair. Stiff—yes, that’s exactly how it feels to sit on. The build quality also raises concerns: The instruction manual that came with the chair does not match the actual product. The caster wheels do not fit easily into the base. They were so tight that I had to use a hammer to force them in. The adjustment levers for height, seat depth, and backrest tension are confusingly designed and unintuitive to use. When I attempted to return the chair, I found that I couldn’t remove the casters or the gas cylinder from the seat, making it impossible to repack into the original box. In fact, disassembling this chair without a hammer and other tools is nearly impossible. Ultimately, I had to cancel my return simply because I couldn't take the chair apart and fit it back into the box. This has been a frustrating experience, and I cannot recommend this product.

Hard lumbar support with limited adjustability
The chair has many adjustment options and seems of decent quality. There's one main issue that makes it unusable - for my body, the lumbar support is extremely hard (it's just plastic) and can't be adjusted away from the seat back (it only goes up and down). So, to pushes uncomfortably into my back regardless of the position or seat depth. Other nit-picks: The video of the chair makes it appear that the seat tilts with the back, but the back tilts on its own (the seat stays level). This isn't a deal breaker, but reclining won't bring your knees higher, which I prefer. The arms do not pivot in and out, so they're too wide to comfortably rest your elbows on while typing. Finally, the assembly was difficult - in particular putting the wheels on required a rubber mallet. The chair may be comfortable for different body types, but for me (6', 180 lbs.) it's not useable out of the box due to the rock hard lumbar support. I was able to pry off the lumbar support assembly and stuff a towel back there, but it's a sad hack for a $400 chair.

It gets the job done, but its not amazing
I saw this chair recommended in some NYMag (or something similar) review of ergonomic home office equipment, so I thought I'd give it a try. Overall, its just OK. The chair is fine to assemble - just your standard office chair assembly. The adjustments are slightly better than a standard/cheap chair - the seat slide adjustment is nice. There is no lumbar adjustment (not a problem for me). The arms feel reasonably sturdy, but with a little wobble. The back of the chair is comfortable, but it sways side to side a bit when you're leaning in it - like if you were to lean to one side or the other, the back bends a bit to follow you. I can't tell if this is a feature or just loose tolerances. I've only had it for about a month, and I don't notice any unusual wear. Standard chair wheels, so I upgraded to those inline-skate casters (which fit the base just fine).

Perfect chair for Big & Tall Men
Pros: +++Easy Assembly +++Durable lift with 6'4, 250lbs of man using for 10+ hours a day, no sag ++Comfortable cushion, relatively springy even after hours of use ++Arms adjust up/down pretty far which is nice +Decent back support - not as rigid as a Aeron or something, but good for this price point Cons: - No accessories (would love a head support attachment) Overall highly recommended if you're a big/tall guy like myself this is definitely a chair worth considering. Comfort is great, construction quality is top notch, and price point is hard to beat.
