For a honda cr-v, has anybody tested a compatible sd card. i see the transcend 4gb is bought often together (it seems more than 4gb is wasteful)

This card adapter works great.  Yes buying a larger memory modern card and plugging it into the old PC card slots is memory wasteful.  But much cheaper than buying and the difficulty finding a real PC card witch has not been made for nearly 20 years.

for those of you who own a janome memory craft 10000 or 10001 sewing machine, i would like to know if this card would work with the sewing machine?

The correct answer should be "No".I have a 10000 (v3) and bought this product based on the affirmative responses to this question. I can confirm that this does not work with the 10000 (and probably does not work with the 10001 either). The sewing machine could not read the card, even when the card was pre-formatted to FAT16 and/or repartitioned to use a 16MB partition. I tried 4GB, 1GB, and 256MB SD cards. None of them would work.Your best bet is to buy a USB CompactFlash card reader for your PC, get a CompactFlash to PCMCIA adapter for the sewing machine, and some cheap used 16MB or 32MB CompactFlash cards off eBay or similar. This ended up being the workable solution for me.
