Microsoft Xbox Wireless Controller - Phantom Black Special Edition - Xbox One (Discontinued)

I absolutely love this controller it is well worth it, not only does it work perfectly but it looks really cool. Even better if you get the phantom black charging port for the controller. If you are debating getting this just get it you won’t regret it.

I was in search for another Xbox Controller because my last one had a drift issue which was odd but must of happened because of normal wear and tear. I seen this controller on the Xbox marketplace and decided to give it a try. When I opened the box right away I noticed the bumber and trigger keys were more sturdier compared to past iterations. Now, you aren't getting controller grip padding on this one so that might take a star down for some. But for me i enjoyed using this controller for the month i had it so far. So if you need a pretty cool controller i'd pick this up. It also has a semi-transparent look if you're into that. If anything happens I'll be sure to update the review.

Pros: Looks amazing, semi-transparent design, its basically the same structure design as normal xb1 controllers so all attatchments fit it as far as i can tell. Has a smoother feeling topside and grippier underside than a default xb1 controller. The stocks are also grippier with more defined bumps on their edges, making for more friction between the fingers and sticks, and less effort in doing so. CONS: after a few months of use, or some sort small scratch where the topside non-transparent part begins, that non-transparent dusty colour appears to begin rubbing away(use image to see exactly what i mean) . Im not sure how it started but i just notticed one night my controller felt weird, and the paint was missing from part of it. Though it doesnt really affect my playing, just makes me sort of upset cause its a bit ugly. But i suppose if i did that to the whole controller i could see through all of it. Summary: Still love it. The controller itself seems the exact same as the default controller you get with your xb1 other than what ive mentioned, just with customized face & backplates. We have the Halo 5 controller and just bought this one, so that's what I have to compare to. This controller feels like a standard controller- standard weight and feel as your average white xbox one controller. The Halo controller is heavier and has a smoother feel/texture. We were expecting this one to be average, and it was. It looks pretty though, and the control quality is the same as the Halo one.

No hate great controller just microsoft needs to fix the headphone jack on every controller because every xbox one controller I've ever had the headphone jack stopped working I thought I could address that

It’s a good working controller, the looks is ok. The vibrations are very good. I love the controller. One thing is the analog sticks feel uncomfortable, the controller my Xbox came with the analog sticks felt better. That’s the only thing I don’t like the controller. (It could be because I need to get used to the controller) I recommend you to get the controller, I would recommend it to anyone.

I like the design and everything and it also comes in with batteries. I tried to use it with Bluetooth and it worked perfectly but sometimes u would lose connection for like 3-5 seconds causing me to mess up in-game. That was only with Bluetooth on my laptop though.

This controller was advertised as "fully functional" when in fact, it is not. The left analog stick drifts to the right and requires overcorrection in order to function as intended. The right trigger sticks to the controller, forcing the "RT" button to be rapidly input when used. The controller plating is lifted off of the right side and I'm unable to snap it back in place. Those issues combined with the fact that the controller was absolutely disgusting when it was delivered. Dirt, grime, and dead skin filled the crevices of the controller, requiring me to get a small brush and some alcohol to clear everything up. Would not recommend buying from this seller.
