For what it is, I have no idea how I can justify 228 with shipping included for a phone case. The quality of it isn’t even extraordinary, the weight distribution is poor, it actually hurts to hold up the phone while typing because the bottom is so light. The case itself is cute. I know you could argue that it looks too long, I honestly don’t mind that. My issue is that the keys are so much tinier than expected. There’s more space on the case so space the keypads out a bit. It’s practically impossible to not press keys you don’t want to touch. I’m returning and getting a full refund. Just can’t justify this. Really wanted to love it. I am reserved to buy their clicks communicator.

I have chunky fingers and often struggle with mistypes on my iPhone keyboard. I would also struggle to type very fast because of mistypes. Ive found myself missing the smart phones with built-in keyboards from my younger days four year. found this case when I googled the keyboard case for iPhone out of frustration one day. I’ll be honest that the $135 price point really made me hesitate but I figured I could return it if I really didn’t like it. However, after a few days I was hooked and so I won’t be returning it after all. My biggest complain complaint for the clicks case is that it makes the phone way too long. Thankfully, I only have an iPhone 16 Pro so it only makes it a little bigger than a 16 Pro Max. I could not imagine using it on a bigger phone though because it would make it absolutely massive. I am begging the company to come up with a slide out design to make it more compact and easier to fit in a pocket. The buttons are also pretty small physically compared to the digital keyboard so people with wider fingers may still experience mistypes. Now for what I like: all the buttons are slightly angled to make it easier for you to tell the difference between buttons by touch without having to look at them. You can turn the back light on and off, depending on what you want and to save battery. You can set the keyboard to time out after a certain time to save battery. If you download the app, you can control and edit certain shortcuts on the keyboard, which is cool. You can still use MagSafe accessories with it and do wireless charging. It also allows you to charge your phone via charging cord without taking the case off, although it’s somewhat slows down fast charging. You can also use a shortcut to enter data pass-through mode so that you don’t have to take it off to transfer data to your computer or USB drive. The case itself is a firmer plastic that seems decently durable, but doesn’t seem to have much shock protection, so I would still be very careful around drops. The keyboard part of the case is also not water resistant or water proof, which is a little disappointing due to its price point and how often you can encounter water in your daily life. You also have to be particular with how you take the phone in and out of the case to prevent damage to the USB ports, but that’s kind of understandable. I haven’t noticed much battery drain since using the case even when keeping the backlight on, which is nice. It has a slight learning curve to it due to the additional length it adds to the phone. You kinda have to learn to hold your phone in a different way or buy a grip of some sort. You can use a keyboard shortcut to switch between the physical keyboard and the digital iOS keyboard, as well as the emoji keyboard. While it hasn’t necessarily sped up my typing yet, being able to have tactile typing has massively improved my overall phone experience. I have less mistypes and I get a lot more screen real estate. While this case, definitely won’t be for everyone it’s definitely for the niche of people that have been missing Smart phones with keyboards. It’s an easy way to give any smart phone a keyboard, which is cool. I’ve actually gotten a lot of compliments on it and requests for the link since I’ve been using it. I really hope the company considers a more compact slide out design in the future because I know the additional length is a turn off for a lot of people. I would love to see them find a way to add some water resistance to the keyboard. I also wish they would come out for fun colors for the newer model phones. It’s kind of a bummer that the fun colors are only for the old phones.

Is it a keyboard? Yes. Are the keyboard shortcuts cool? Yes. That that’s about where it ends. The keys are not big enough to improve typing speed by any discernible amount. The main reason I got it was I wanted functionality like I used to have on my blackberry where I can type with a keyboard that is not separate Bluetooth device. This unfortunately is not that. My missed keys were essentially identical for clicks on the onscreen keyboard, even after several days of using continuously and maximizing efficiency. At a significantly lower price point, it might be worth having as an alternative. But at that cost, it is far more economical and effective to simply use voice to text and correct where needed. And on those rare occasions where I really do need to type a significant amount I will just break out the $10 Bluetooth keyboard. Despite all this, it is a well-made, quality product, fits the iPhone perfectly, easy on easy off. The design is sleek and compact. More color options would be a nice touch.
