Not sure I understand your question. I use the hinge on glass doors. They worked great.

Q: What is the thickness of the opening of the hinge? The mirror we ordered was 1/4" with backing. Will this product work?

I'm with Stephen C. 1/4" should work, but it is tight. I had to mill a few thou off the inside of mine to fit the 1/4" laminated glass I bought, but that may have been oversized by a hair. This is with no double-sided tape on the little stress plate, and the screws of course will have to barely protrude through the metal.
