Great Printer for Beginners and Multi Color Printing
I picked up the AD5X as my second printer after using an FLSun Super Racer, and the overall quality of life jump was noticeable right away. Unboxing and assembly were simple, and I had it printing in under thirty minutes. Setup and Features The automatic bed leveling is one of the best parts of this machine. I run it before every print since it takes only a minute and keeps everything consistent. The included PEI plate has been excellent. I clean it with alcohol and have had strong adhesion without needing glue. Filament and Printing Filament changes have been smooth. I mainly use SunLu PLA Plus and have had no clogs or grinding. Default profiles in Orca Slicer have given me great results, from fast small prints to large models that fill most of the plate. The touch screen UI works fine, although I mostly watch the live data through Orca. Multi Color Use and Noise Noise levels do rise during multi color printing because of the constant swapping and purging, but an enclosure helps a lot. Purge waste is something to expect, although it can be saved and reused in silicone molds for small parts. Build Area and Results The build volume is large enough for masks and modest helmet pieces when angled correctly. Bed adhesion has been reliable as long as the surrounding temperature stays stable. Reliability I am close to one hundred hours of printing on this machine. Any issues I have had were user error. The included tools are the standard set you would expect, nothing fancy but perfectly usable. Who This Is Good For This is a great printer for anyone starting out, or for someone ready to step into multi color prints without spending a lot. It has been reliable, easy to use, and solid for both small and large projects. Update: it takes some work with a Slicer but it is possible to get a full size helmet out of the printer. Masks are typically no issue but I had to split a full size into about 6 parts. It was a fun learning experience but it shows how versatile it can be with built plate limitations to work around.

Just Buy It I did
Very easy to setup and to print. The app only lets you monitor printing. It’s not like the Bamboo Labs where you can print from the app. But for the price to print in multiple colors you can’t beat it. The side cart for the Bamboo to do multi is over 400 you can buy two of these for the total cost. I’m going to add a second one of these. I know the app will grow and get better. But you can print one or multiple times at once.

Great purchase, reliable, and easy to use
Fantastic little machine starter/beginner takes a few prints to get used to the temps, i clean and alcohol the heat pad supplied supplied grease to screws and slides. only issue sofar: I received Flashforge AD5M damaged from shipping and decided to keep. Amazon reimburse me for the damages. I tried to ask FF cs for a new support angle bar but got directed back to amazon. It works flawlessly though... i manually unbent the bar and calibrated itself.. Now i want to get a multicolor printer, its fun, we're having a blast with it!

Fast and not too loud
Great printer! Not too loud. Prints pretty fast. However, multi-color printing takes a long time, since it has to change colors and clean the nozzle between colors. The results have been pretty good though. It was pretty easy to set up as well. We have been using it for about a month now.

Simply Amazing!!!
My best investment ever.. This is my very first multi color 3d printer and im glad to say that i have hit a jackpot with this high performing machine. i love how its all metal body gives it such a durable look. the LCD screen is very intuitive and easy to use and it connects easily with your local wifi. the print quality on the machine is one of the best especially considering its price range. The printing noise is a bit loud especially when it clunks at the time of changing the filament but it get easy to get use to it soon enough. the PEI plate has best adhesion even without having to use glue (one stick provided with the package). This is a highly recommended machine for any one new to this domain and my advise will be to invest in the multi color option right away.

Awesome 3D Printer ( Use Orca-Flash Print )
Easy to setup 10mins or less. Preassembled, only thing you need to install is the Filament Holder/Bracket on the rear of the printer and take out the Shipping Bracket (4 Screws) for the Screen and slide it in the frame on the top/right of the Printer. Great Auto leveling & Filament change. Touch Screen Easy to use. Software preinstalled and features auto-update if connected to Wifi. No running back and fourth to your PC with USB-Stick or SD Card to put Prints into Printer, features to sent to Printer from FlashPrint or Orca-Flashprint, it does have USB port to do so. Best Value for you money with no regrets. Print Quality is Great. I ONLY RECOMMENT ORCA FlashPrint software. I had nothing but problems with FlashPrint Software. Con- FlashPrint Software is buggy / STL files Most of the time are invisible until you Slice & Preview. - FlashPrint Software on most of my prints have problems with Tree Supports - FlashPrint Software G-code isn't that great, sometimes crash into Supports and kick Print off the table. - FlashPrint Software doesn't properly auto align multiple STL Files Properly

Bought It for the Kids, but We’re Hooked Too
My husband spearheaded the search for our kids’ birthday present, and the choice came down to this printer and the Bambu Lab for ease of use. Ultimately, the ADX5 won because it had every feature we wanted built in so you don’t have to buy anything extra besides the filament. The multicolor printing capability was also a big plus. Fast forward three months, and I’m happy to report that although we originally bought it for the kids, we’ve been enjoying it just as much! There’s a bit of a learning curve, but my handy husband took care of that, and now we print anything from planter pots to Halloween masks. If you own this you definitely need an account at makesworld.com to find new things to print for free. It’s really an amazing site and you can find anything and everything on there. One thing to note: multicolor printing produces quite a bit of filament waste (“filament poop”), so we try to stick to single-color projects to minimize that. Our favorite filament so far is Sunlu’s matte filament, it’s great quality, affordable, and gives our prints a professional finish. I’ve seen some people mention filament stringing with other printers, but we haven’t had that issue with the ADX5. Some say it’s noisier than other models, but since ours is set up on a different floor, noise isn’t a concern for us. Even when I’m in the same room, the sound level feels completely acceptable.

Works great! When it does.
So far it works almost perfect when it works. I want to start this review by adding a quick note that I may have received a printer that was either mismanufactured or had some quality control issues. That being said, things were good until they weren't. Shipping and delivery are the item was as promised by prime. Unboxing and setting up the printer possibly took about 30 minutes total. It seems like the unboxing took a little longer due to the packaging being excellent. Putting a pieces together. Possibly took about 10 minutes at most. Once set up the device did itself. Seem to handle that very well and with very little noise and now enclosure. The touch screen seems a bit finicky and requires Force rather than tap. I would say that this may be the weakest link on the device, but it's definitely better than a bamboo version of the screen. I was able to crank out several dozen prints with about 90% accuracy and completion as with any other 3D printer learning, the nuances of the software can be a little frustrating. However, if you're used to playing with orca slicer or any other slicer, you eventually get your attached within a couple hours. I was able to build an enclosure without issues and install the camera as well. I would say that the cable from the camera to the touch screen appears to be a bit short. I get to the part where things just stopped working. The printer had been properly hustling for about 300 hours when at the commencement of a new print with auto leveling set. It was a large print, the nozzle and extruder system hit the leveling bed which caused some major catastrophic damage. The device allowed the nozzle and print bed to etch on each other and eventually fuse. The print bed has gold flaking material which eventually ended on all the components of the printer, including the belt drives and the the extruder system. The odd part about it is that the printer never stopped attempting to print during this process. I just happened to notice a noise level that was not consistent with the previous 290 hours of printing. The only thing that would stop it was unplugging the device. Since then I've been in contact with flashforge support which has been a dream to work with. I have a tech background so I was able to take the printer apart. Clean off all the gold flakings and metal flakings from all the components using air and vacuum. Flashforge decided to send me a new print nozzle, a new bed plate and a new extruder kit to resolve this issue. Luckily this is not my first printer and it won't me my last one either. Based on the customer support that I received. What do I like about this printer? I would say that the speed noise and accuracy are unmatched compared to bamboo or any cubic which I have filament change speed seems to be quicker with flashforge using flashforge filament seems to be the best medium to use. I've had some issues with the sunlu petg filaments for some reason, even customizing the profiles to the recommended sunlu specs seem to get a lot of scarring and inconsistent lines on prints. I will be updating my review once I install the replacement parts over the next couple weeks.
