Growth
The larger plant is from a crown cutting and the smaller ones are from root cuttings, they were in separate containers, the roots weren’t growing so I repotted them and as you can see in the pic, they are growing, all but one, so I’m waiting patiently to see some signs of life bursting forth through the soil as of yet, that hasn’t happened. I will separate these soon so they’ll each have their own space. Overall, I’m pleased with my purchase and can’t wait to see how large they will grow. I purchased this product for the many benefits they provide. Hope this helps someone. I’ll update if and when the fourth root makes an entrance. I might add that it rained for what seemed like forever here and now it’s hotter than a jalapeño pepper 🌶 in a bottle of hot sauce but they’re still thriving and growing strong. I think it would be a toss up as for as which grows faster, I’ve ordered both and I’ve seen both the crown cuttings and the root cuttings grow extremely fast…. I would recommend this seller, instructions were provided.

Grew leaves and roots really fast!
I was worried when I saw the little “stump” wrapped in tissue and aluminum foil but followed the instructions somewhat - left it in water longer because I had to go out of town, and roots and leaves grew quickly. It is planted in a pot now and growing big. It was easy to follow the instructions - put in water then plant I would say this is a good quality plant, and I feel I got good value for my money. Thank you 🙏🏻

2 times a charm!
The Comfrey came in very fast so here's the thing I had one at first it was great it grew so fast I ended up transferring it too quickly I transferred it within like a month. I think should have waited longer. I got the second one from the same seller.I already knew what to do and look how beautiful it looks my wife and I take very good care of this Comfrey. Instead of transferring it this time I started off with just putting it in the big pot already with organic soil with bone mail. It's easy to plant just follow the directions and start it off in a big pot.

Expensive, but it grew
This root cutting was overpriced, but since comfrey can be hard to find unless you have a friend with cuttings, I bought it. I planted it last autumn with no fanfare and little ado, and am happy to say this spring I'm the proud owner of a beautiful, healthy, flowering comfrey plant. I plan to share cuttings with all my fellow homesteader friends. Deducted 1 star for the (in my opinion) outrageous price, but 4 stars because my (one very expensive) root cutting arrived healthy, in good condition, and it did what it was supposed to do (grow and flourish) so I'm satisfied.

Just don’t. Start from seed instead. At least that way you’ll know what you can expect.
I received a slimy clipping that was wrapped in paper towel and then foil. ??? Ever optimistic I tried planting in high quality mix. Of course it did not sprout. It disintegrated. I’ve never in my 40 years of gardening received a root clipping wrapped in foil. The paper towel was totally gross. So, they have asked me to drive the six miles to my nearest post office to ship a rotten plug that dissolved in soil after a few weeks. Then they will return my money. But not my time. Or my energy. Worst experience with a ‘live cutting’ ever. And that says a lot. I’m super sad because comfrey is such a useful medicinal herb when used appropriately. And it’s hard to find. Root clipping are essentially free. I see no reason for them not to replace my order with a healthy clipping. I’m not sure it was ever even a viable comfrey plant to begin with. Bummed. I hoped to have it well established before fall.

I Love my Comfrey Plant
I purchased this comfrey three years ago and I just want to say that the plant is amazing! I use it to make salve that is wonderful for sore muscles. I make a tea that I pour on my plants. I cut the leaves off and put them in my compost. Plus the blocking 14 doesn’t spread like crazy. The plant is huge but it hasn’t taken over my herb garden👍

So Happy I bought this
I was a bit nervous when I ordered this but really wanted to grow some comfrey in my garden. I wasn't sure what to expect when the little brown root arrived. It looked dead but I said it's here let's give it a try. I planted the small root and to my surprise it grew right away. It wasn't even 3 days before I had leaves coming up. Amazing. I now have a beautiful comfrey plant growing in my garden. Don't underestimate that a tiny brown dead looking root will grow into a beautiful plant. I plan to order more. I wanted to update my review, this plant is in the ground and performing beautifully. I couldn't be happier don't be worried when you get it and it looks dead believe me it will grow.
