Anyone have a problem with the yarn twisting/flipping as you use it?

Yes, this yarn does twist, as it is pulled from the center of the cake. The twisting causes “kinks” from time to time. The colors are vibrant and create lovely self-striping.

Nol Red Heart Boutique is more like the Lion Brand Landscapes yarn... smooth, long fibers, kind of shiny, soft like roving. Roll with it has a completely different texture; if you look at all the photos you can see closeups that give a good idea of the difference between them. That said, I have this in a couple of different color ways. It is easy to work with, is deliciously soft and the colors are somewhat marled in places making the transition from one color to another smooth and really pretty in the finished item. I used this for a small corner to corner crocheted baby blanket and it turned out beautifully.
