Wolfram Research Calculus WIZ (Stand-alone) (PC & Mac)

After reading the others, I can see that my review will have to stand alone. I recently took calculus online at a very good university, but it was really just me alone with the book: No classroom instruction showing problems on the board, etc. It was tough!Then I found this calculus solver, which helped me immensely. You have to teach yourself how to enter the problems correctly into the solver, which may be difficult for some, but I mastered the technique fairly quickly. What a relief! Step-by-step solutions to your homework problems with the correct answer. How can that be bad?Even if you are assigned homework problems with the answers available in the back of the book, it's invaluable to see each step. In addition, there are tutorials explaining calculus concepts, and, yes, this version completes integration problems very successfully!The documentation states that the CD is intended for first year college calculus students. Perhaps others were trying to use it for more advanced courses, beyond Calc I & II?All I know is that I could not have received my perfect 4.0 grade in the course without this calculus solver. I loved it!

The product makers describe this as an interactive calculus tutorial - which it flat out isn't. It's a homework problem solver. The difference between the product description and what was actually in the package is amazing. I wasted close to sixty bucks on this product. Don't do the same!!!!
