To add to the stress, the nearest hardware store is a significant forty-minute journey away, making a quick replacement utterly out of the question. In a moment of sheer desperation, I turned to Amazon, hoping for a miracle. And a miracle arrived in the form of overnight delivery! I placed the order late in the evening, and to my immense relief, the new butane torch was delivered precisely at 7 AM the next morning. My sincere gratitude goes out to the incredibly prompt delivery driver who ensured my holiday meal remained on track. Their dedication truly saved the day. From the instant I unboxed it, I was impressed. This torch connected to my existing butane canister with effortless precision – no fiddling, no leaks, just a perfect, secure fit. Operating it was an absolute dream; the intuitive design allowed me to adjust the flame with incredible accuracy, achieving exactly the intensity I needed for delicate caramelization. Ignition was instant and reliable every single time. The result? My Easter ham developed the most exquisite, uniformly golden, and subtly crispy glaze. I have had many of these hand held refillable torches I used for cooking and other smaller projects like thawing frozen pipes, etc. Every one of them had the refill on the bottom of the torch. I never had a single one of these torches where you could refill them without liquid butane blowing all over you and the bottom of torch fill area because the fill inlet never matched the butane cans even with all the misc adapter fittings. I gave up and in the garbage they went. This torch is totally incredible using the camp stove butane cylinders. It fits right down on the can, press in on the torch and twist it about 10 degrees clockwise and it's done (it's going to be tight but you won't break anything). NO BUTANE ALL OVER THE PLACE! Even removing it from the can is simple and easy so I can even store the torch and can separately if I want too, it comes with a neat storage bag to put it in. I have the 8oz. cans but smaller ones are available also. This torch is well made all the way and works great. Take some time to get used to all the different flame adjustments at first. Also, this unit can even be used upside-down also in need be. This thing is so simple to use I'll be buying another one to keep out in my shop too. The trigger pull to gas lighter is great also. 5Star product all the way.

Bought this torch to finish off the sou vide tomahawk steak that was too big for my carbon steel pan. I was worried that it will not be hot enough (as per view comparisons on butane torches vs flame throwers on YouTube), but it turns out just fine for me. Seared the steak for around 3-5 mins on each side and achieved a good result. I use it for a sous vide steak, hence the temperature is enough to finish off the steak, but will definitely be NOT enough to cook a raw steak even if its thinner. As a beginner for using a butane torch, its easy enough to use. The flame it throws is longer then I expect, especially the soft flame mode, which burst significantly longer and less controllable. I set my cabinet on fire for a brief second, luckily my cabinet is material is flame retardant and I suspect it only burned away the oily/dusty/chemically cleaned surface away. Overall, I got what I want with this torch, just use it with enough space plus some extra to be cautious. I will only use the soft flame mode outdoor.

I bought this on the recommendation of a YT video where a guy said that searing with a torch is not his favorite method, but he liked this FunOwlet so well that he bought another when his finally died. I previously had a $69 model from a name-brand fancy kitchen store and hated it. This one is much cheaper and is very easy to light up and use. All you do is twist a can on to the bottom - turn the rear knob - and pull the trigger. It automatically lights and stays lit, so that you don't have to hold the trigger down. Shut it off by turning the knob the other way to close the valve. No, there aren't a lot of safety interlocks, but I figure I'm a responsible adult. I don't worry about the gas leaking out, like with the expensive model, but I do pull the can off after use, and set the nozzle on a granite counter to cool. Be aware that this torch will operate in any orientation, so if you hold it in a position that allows the butane to flow out more easily, it will do so and may produce more flame than you want. Holding in an upright position is very easy to do. And the flame size is easily adjustable.

Been using pressure cooker to prepare meals and needed a way to crisp up / brown the skin of chicken. Torch works well with butane canisters with large adjustable flame. Knob on rear adjusts fuel / flame size. Trigger ignites the flame but its not necessary to hold the trigger once lit. When installing align the canister notch with torch tab and twist. There is no click or screwing on... just a friction twist and lock. Tight gas seal easily made. Only a 1/4 turn or less is needed. Easily able to produce a flame 2-3" long. Great addition to my kitchen gadgets. The nozzle get extremely hot (ask me how I know) so keep the torch away from kids and fingers after use. There is a ceramic liner inside the stainless steel torch barrel which I assume is fragile so handle accordingly. Otherwise all other parts are plastic which have a decent quality feel to it.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I strongly recommend staying away from this product and this seller. I received the item only a few days ago, and it stopped working after just a few uses. For a brand-new product to fail this quickly is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, when I tried to return it, I discovered that it was not eligible for a return. Now I’m stuck with a product that doesn’t work and have no way to get my money back.

This product works fine for lighting my extra smoking tube. Price is also awesome. I am pleased with the product 💯

Well, I use mine to solder silver, making jewelry. I will probably use one for cooking as well. I liked mine so much I purchased another one for myself and a friend of which I will be teaching how to make jewelry and she also is a great cook. I get a low flame or medium or large flame. it adjust easily. I dont have to use big tanks any more. its safe and easy to change when empty. the Butane is easy to change the head to another butane fuel can. with one turn. I am so glad I found these. Im almost 72 yrs old. I have been making jewelry off and on for yrs. I did my first piece in 1974. I was a single parent then and couldn't afford tools but the last 10 yrs I have gotten back into it. and when I saw this on Amazon I was so excited I ordered funOwlet right away. its great value for the money. yeah Even I can afford several and I have 5 Butane cans waiting for me. when you see a good thing you must stock up right. so much better than my little torches that I used to solder with one in each hand. dont have to now. and FunOwlet is cheaper. I would leave and photo but I dont know how to do them. I will just have to learn. so easy to use. and Im here to tell you no one ask me to give a review.
