I took these pics for this review but typically do not use the black charger. I originally purchased these for my babies, 2 and 4, to have in bed. I wanted them to be able to quietly play if they couldn’t sleep. I wanted them to read books and take their little lights to the bathroom without turning on the big lights. I looked at flashlights, but they like to take the batteries out. I looked at lamps, led strips, lighted stuffed animals, and more. Everything broke. I stumbled across these little lights on desertcart. They are certainly not made for babies. The charger is a bit sharp if you run your finger across it, and they are not water resistant in any way. I let the babies know that they were not toys. They are tools. It’s been nearly a year, and they are still working great. They do everything I intended and more-they provide soft light for nightmares, trips to the bathroom, and quiet midnight play. They became headlights for the bus made out of cardboard boxes. They became the lights on a boat made of building blocks. The kids know how to dim the light so they can go to sleep easier. The lights do not flicker, which I appreciate. They are blue as they are charging. The kids know how to place them gently on the charger. It gave them independence and another avenue for creative play. My teenager stole one, and she uses it for similar reasons. I loved these little lights so much that I asked for another set for my birthday. They are just so beautiful and perfect. My kids fight over everything, so we colored the bottom of the white ones in their favorite colors-blue and pink. I got the black ones for myself. Since they have lasted through quite a bit of abuse, I would 100% purchase them again if I lost them for some reason. As for recommending them-they are not meant for babies, but it’s worked great for us. They would be perfect for candle light type dinners and night stand night lights. They are simple but beautiful. In these pictures, the black light is fully charged and the white lights are still being charged. The cable it comes with matches the charger and lights…I used my own cable temporarily. Update-the charger got a bubble where the plug is located. I’m going to guess it had a malfunction where it melted. It’s been 13 months. The lights are still great, but the charger makes me worry about potential fires. It was nice while they lasted! Review: Handy, effective, and cute! - In addition to being cute for ambiance lighting, they're also really useful as portable night-lights. I always take one with me when I travel so I can find the way to the bathroom in an unfamiliar hotel room without waking my partner. They're also great if you need to grab a glass of water in the middle of the night but don't want to blind yourself with a big light (lol). You get the charm of walking through a house with a Victorian candlestick, and the safety of the fact that there's no real fire involved. XD I got the warm white color, and indeed it's plenty bright to use like a lamp at night, and you can dim it down to be more like 2-3 lumens. The battery life is great, and the charging base has its own battery, so you can charge the lights and the base, and be good to go for a long time! I love these, and have already had a friend order them based on seeing mine.

Love love love these. There are 3 that I THINK are individually charged on base. You can stack or theee or not. My kitchen works with white but I’ve now bought a black set for daughter. How it operates: you press center top to turn on. To dim press long and then press once or twice for medium or high light. With every penny as they work nicely indoors or outdoors.

Cool idea, fail in practice.
This is a really cool idea, but it fails in practice. I keep my office dim, and I thought I would occasionally spread them about when I needed more light but didn't want the glaring overheads. These are just too weak. Less illumination than a good candle. If it was even just 30% brighter or more, it would have been perfect. People come in the office and ask what it is, and I show them what it is and how it charges, and everyone thinks it's super neat but when they see the actual illumination they add they all agree it is too weak to be effective.

Very cool
Bought these as a gift. They are not bulky and stack nicely. When lit they look pretty cool. I am told they are pretty bright and doesn’t take long to charge. Will look pretty outside on a deck. Nice quality and worth the money for something different.
