I purchased this item to go on window in young daughter’s bedroom. I found the item easy to install. The instructions are simple to follow. It took less than 5 minutes to install. The size of the item works well with my windows but measure up before buying to ensure it will fit! Item feels decent quality and it has worked on my windows and allows the window to only open so far before then locking into place. If my daughter ever got close to the window, she wouldn’t be able to push it further open or disconnect the item in any way. It feels sturdy on the window frame. I do feel a bit safer knowing it’s on the window. This item protects one side of the window. You would need to purchase more to protect both sides. But, we just keep one side permanently locked and then open the protected side safely. The adhesion to window frame feels good and I don’t think my daughter would be able to pull it off. Not before us noticing anyway! Based on current use, it’s something I would recommend to other parents.

Love the product. Brought two as I have 2 kittens and have been unable to have the windows open in this heat. Took 5 minutes to fit they open enough to let air circulate. Be careful with the profile of some windows. As although they may fit, it may not let you open them to the full extent.

Well thought out design. Made from quality materials. Followed the fitting instructions by using the marked line on the window opening piece. Fixed into position and slowly opened the window. The engagement buttons would not engage to lock the window open, because the arm was fouling my window frame, preventing the window opening far enough. To overcome this I used a powerfile tool and ground off enough of the back of the arm to clear my window frame. Maybe my window frame has a deeper section than the frames it was designed to fit and you may be lucky and it will fit with no adjustment necessary. I didn’t knock any stars off because nobody has previously mentioned this in their reviews. It was a simple mod, but I had the right tool to do it. Had I not had the right tool it would have been a problem. Now it is working perfectly and holds the window open as it was designed to do. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again.
