Soldanza Pepper Sweet Plantain Chips, 2.5 Ounce (Pack of 24)

I discovered this chips when I visited the Caribbean and was instantly in love. I’ve searched for this snack ever since then and I came across Soldanza selling their chips on Amazon recently. It is a little pricey but definitely worth it. I saw other reviews saying the chips was stale and tasted bad so I was hesitant to buy it at first. But then I decided to just take a chance and i was not disappointed at all. It was not stale and it tasted amazing. I would buy it again

These chips are so good. They are not too spicy and have the perfect hint of sweet and spice.

I fell in love with these plantain chips when I was in Guyana last year. They are the perfect blend of sweet and spicy ... absolutely delicious. I have not been able to find this variety in any stores here in the US ... perhaps some would have greater success in a state with a larger West Indian/Caribbean population. I will definitely be buying another case soon. The order came quickly and in good condition.

I bought the entire box and I had to throw away 98% of the box. All of them were burnt to wear each bag you could only get three or four plantain chips that were not burnt and actually edible. The rest of them tasted extremely burnt and we had to discard them. This review is coming from somebody who has bought these chips before and I'm genuinely, generally a fan of them I love the taste, but this has given me pause to ever purchase from the seller again because I've lost all my money. I bought them for an afternoon brunch event and everyone who got a bag ended up throwing their bag away. Unfortunately for me, it was a bit embarrassing because I was hoping to introduce many new people to these plantain chips. I've included pictures for proof

Great hot and nice

I had these chips in the Caribbean recently and they were so good. When I returned home, I started searching local stores to purchase them in the states. Unfortunately, no stores in my area sold this flavor but, I was happy to find them on Amazon. I purchased the 25 count box and was happy when I received them. However, I was quickly disappointed after opening the first bag. It tasted old and stale. Some of the chips were super hard or rubbery soft. I checked the expiration date and they all had August 2019 so I figured maybe it was just that 1 bag. Couple days later, I had another bag and the quality was the same. Out of about 5 opened bags, 1 tasted fresh. Not sure if the storage facility where the chips came from caused them to go bad before the expiration date but I still gave these 4 stars because I liked the chips when had them in the Caribbean so I know what it should taste like. I took off the 1 star because of it not being fresh from Amazon.

These are honestly the best Plantain chips I have ever had. I'm addicted eating a bag every day and looking forward to this amazing treat.

Usually I have to go into the city for this but now it can be shipped. So tasty!!! I will be ordering again!!
