The original reason I wanted to purchase this bulb was to make a more affordable sunrise alarm clock. It has proven to be so useful in so many other ways, I immediately ordered 2 more bulbs after setting up my first bulb. • Incredibly easy setup, just screw it into your lamp, download the app, and then follow the guided instructions on the app. • The app is very straightforward and easy to use. It has so many features that allow to you control the atmosphere of your room without leaving the comfort of your seat. **It also saves the last settings you set before closing the app on your phone, so you don’t have to keep the app open all the time to use the bulbs! • Sunrise/Sunset timer - much more afforable than a $100 sunrise alarm clock, you can set multiple alarms with different settings (brightness/intervals/days of the week) which is a setting that most of the alarm clocks don’t have, and since it’s silent, you can have your own alarms on your phone to make noise or just wake up naturally without an alarm sound. •Turning on lights remotely - I live in an apartment where there are minimal ceiling lights and none of the switches for them are near entrances, so being able to turn lights on before coming home makes it so much more convenient without stumbling in the dark. This is also helpful if it starts to get darker earlier in the winter before you get home and you want to provide some light for your pets while you’re not home. • Affordable alternative to lamp timers to deter home intruders when you’re not home. • Mood lighting - using this with lower brightness and a soft colored glow definitely helps you to relax and start to get tired before bed. You can sit in bed and adjust the settings without hassle. I’m definitely never buying a regular lightbulb again after experiencing the convenience of these bulbs. Had these bulbs in my bedroom for more than a year now and I don't know how I lived without them! So easy to set up and use. Does not require signing up to anything. You just screw them in, download the app, find your bulbs and you're good to go. They can be very bright, or a little bright as desired. The colors are also quite nice. I also love that you can set them so that they have different functions throughout the day. I have them set to gradually turn on from 0% - 20% when my alarm goes on in the morning which helps me wake up, yet isn't glaring bright light. I also have them change to a beautiful violet in the evening telling me when it's time to get ready for bed, and then they automatically shut off at 11 meaning I should be sleeping by then!! You can set different functions [turn on, off, gradually increase/decrease, change color] to any time of the day, and have it repeat every day. I want to get these for every light in my house.

I really like the device. It is not that bright, but comparable to a normal light bulb (i like to get the high Lumen light bulb) I like the color built in functions and it was pretty easy instructions how to connect to them. easier than i thought. Not big fan that I had to make an account with magic home(even though it was trivial thing to do, i just hate making accounts) its integration to Google home assistant is pretty good, but not complete. I can change color, turn them on and off, change the brightness. But i was not able to use the built in functions (gradual fading between colors) or my custom colors through google assistant (maybe there is a way, but so far, it doesnt seem like it. so you cant say , "ok google, romantic lights", it is more, "ok google, turn living room lights on, ok google, change living room lights to red, ok google, change living room lights brightness to 50%") all in all, i am pretty happy with them especially for the price and not needing a hub. I recommend them for people who like these stuff. they are definitely fun to have

Never written an Amazon review before but wanted to for these. These bulbs are awesome. I was a bit skeptical buying them since they were so cheap but the reviews were great so I thought I'd give them a shot. Bought 4 for my room to go along with my Google Home, 3 for my ceiling fan and 1 for my lamp. They all sync together very well and look awesome. The brightness is perfect for my room, although they could be slightly brighter (my old lights were). The app works great and has tons of features that all work awesome. The microphone option is awesome for playing music to have the lights all sync to. It looks awesome in a dark room at night and is a really fun feature to have to go along with some good, loud, upbeat music! One of the bulbs made a very very slight high pitched noise when the lights were "off," so I reached out to customer support asking what it was and very quickly received an email back along with a refund for the one bulb, no questions asked. Absolutely awesome customer service, price, and product. If they continue to perform well I'll definitely be buying more!

I had a few concerns before I bought this product based on some of the mixed or negative reviews (mainly on setup and range from router). However, setting up both bulbs was very quick and easy; I followed the instructions on the box and it worked the first try. I just downloaded the app, turned on the bulb, added them one at a time (they did show up on WiFi within the app), and then connected each to my WiFi network. As far as range, one is right next to my router while the other is about 22 feet away in another room. That one connected just fine and is fully responsive in the app. I've only had them installed one day, so I can't speak as to longevity or long-term performance or reliability, but so far so good. I'm excited and pleased with all the features and am looking forward to using the one in my bedroom as a sunrise / wake-up bulb. I'm very happy with my purchase so far and personally didn't have any of the issues with setup or range that some have described here. I don't own an Alexa so I can't speak as to the functionality of the bulbs from that aspect.

Bought three of these to test out, and they worked great, so I bought three more. Used them with my Google home to setup some cool automations. Then one by one they lost connection to the WiFi and would not reconnect, even after factory reset and following all the recommendations suggested in the app and by the support reps via email. The app just hangs on the steps where they would connect to the router for a while then it says it cannot connect and suggests different things to try. They told me the bulbs were too far from the router, to which I told them, the ones furthest from the router work and the one right next to the router doesn't! After a few more spurious suggestions they finally decided it was because I have too many devices on my router. I checked with my router's manufacturers there is no such limit and I also mentioned that they all worked for several months without issue and I have not added any new devices. Now one by one they disconnect and I'm down to two working bulbs and the messed up thing is that you can't even use the ones that won't connect as regular bulbs, because they cycle through different colors every minute of so. I've tried randomly factory resetting a few of the ones that stopped working to see if maybe they connect, but no luck so far, so I'm just watching and waiting for the last two to stop working. That's been my experience ... maybe you will have better luck ... maybe🤷‍♂️

I bought these after being click-baited by the price and figured that it was worth taking a chance on them. Setup was arduous, partially due to my home network setup (I have a dual band router, plus a separate access point) Eventually I was able to set them up by completely disabling everything but my 2.4ghz wireless network. If you have a 5ghz network, either your phone or the bulbs will try to connect to them it seems. After initial setup, they have worked pretty well. We've used them in different colors to compliment holiday lights. I would recommend getting brighter ones than you think you need, since the color changing aspect reduces the amount of light they actually put out. Other than that, if you can be patient enough to set them up, the bulbs are okay.

The bulb is very, very nice. The brightness was what I was expecting; that said that isn't really why I purchased the light, it was the color and the control. The app is good, and very usable as is, but like most pieces of software, everyone has a feature or opinion about the details. You have good and consistent calendar control, along with sunrise/sunset controls. You have custom color controls as well. The few rubs I have: a 10 bit addressing scheme would take this to another level for subtle color control. It would be great if there was stronger group controls, one simple enhancement would be a way to share a color pallet and timing schemes with a number of identical lights (make a batch easily). Lastly, a better way to use the lights to emulate time rather than simply mark it. For instance, I had an application for at least one of these lights to come on and reinforce sunset colors as they are happening and even sunrise for the same reason.
