Can these clips be used if you have gutter guards?

I use them with gutter guards. I jam the long piece into the gutter guard itself. It hangs kinda precariously, but it held last year for over a month... They are definitely designed to be used without guards though.

Are these UV protected for hot sunny summer months?

Idk if Uv protected but I have not had a problem with any I have found in the summer I missed at Christmas

Will these clips accommodate c7 and c9 bulbs?

Yes, I have used them on c9s and a wide variety of others.

Are these clips the "old style" ? They screw on the pole end not the quick release.

When we lived in a house with guttering my husband really liked them. The ones he used just hooked on the gutter and he seemed well pleased with them. Some times he would leave them up and then just replace the ones that had fallen off or the weather caused them to come off. I don't know about the quick release or screw on the pole end. It has been quite a few years since we have used them and I can't really remember if they screw on the pole end, but that does sound familiar. Hope this is helpful. If my husband was still living he could tell you a lot about them. Sorry.
