The story follows three girls who find themselves dragged into a world not unlike classic RPGs like Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. They are the chosen ones who must save the world from destruction and chaos in order to return to Tokyo. This omnibus edition is cheap and worth buying for any manga collection.

Laughed, Cried, happy & Sad
Excellent Story, though the twists are painful, and joyous at the same time. Only thing that made this better was that the creator made a continuance. I wont give spoilers, but definitely gotta read.

Power of the Omnibus
I just love those Omnibus editions. Complete story in one book. Only negative side I see is thickness - It's hard to read without cracking the back(I hate cracks on the back of the book).

Great magical girl manga.
Magic Knight Rayearth had to be one of the first series I rented a long time ago when anime was first making it's impact in the US and even to this day I still remember the dub opening song. However I never got a chance to read the original manga by the famous group CLAMP and so picked up the omnibus to remedy that. MKR is unique to me as a story in that instead of being summoned to be Earth's protectors Umi, Hikaru, and Fuu are whisked away to be the protectors of another world. In Cephiro they learn their purpose, meet memorable characters along the way, and grow their powers for the ultimate showdown with an unexpected foe. The manga seems to end abruptly but it's the perfect ending, one that even brought tears to my eyes, and I can't wait to pick up Magic Knight Rayearth 2 to continue the story. As always CLAMP each page with gorgeous artwork and I enjoyed the color illustrations spread throughout the book. My only complaint is that the book is a bit small for being an omnibus and I wish they had made the pages bigger to prevent it from being such a small, thick book. It's not enough to ruin my enjoyment of the story however!

This comic is what I'm searching for so long, you will never regret to have this book. Just grab this one without hesitation. One of the best work ever by clamp. The omnibus edition is so "BIG", thanks for dark house.

Magic Knight Rayearth omnibus 1 contains 3 full volumes plus plenty of coloured bonus pages. Unlike other Dark Horse omnibuses, it is the same size as a normal manga volume but a lot thicker. Magic Knight Rayearth is about 3 girls named Hikaru, Umi and Fuu. One day, these 3 girls are on a school trip to Tokyo Tower when suddenly a voice calls out to them and the floor gives way. The girls end up in a different world, Cefiro. This world is full of magic and monsters and was previously ruled by Princess Emeraude but she has been kidnapped by Lord Zagato! Hikaru, Umi and Fuu are given the legendary name "Magic Knights" and told that they must save the Princess so that Cefiro can become peaceful again. But these girls are just normal schoolgirls, how will they be able to defeat magic users? Magic Knight Rayearth is made up of 2 parts. The first omnibus contains the original Magic Knight Rayearth. Whilst the second omnibus will contain Magic Knight Rayearth II. This series was the series that made CLAMP into a big name. Written in 1993 when magic girls were really popular, it is still just as good today. Not one bit of it seems outdated. CLAMP's art has changed drastically since then though but it is still beautiful. The characters are very interesting. From their hair colours to the way they act, it's unique! If you are familiar with CLAMP, you will already know Mokona, this strange rabbit creature has appeared in quite a few CLAMP titles. He also appears in Magic Knight Rayearth although he doesn't speak. Also, you will spot some of these characters in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. I can't wait until the next omnibus is released! The ending of this book didn't really feel like an ending. It feels like something else is going to happen. I think any type of manga fan would enjoy this. It has comedy, romance, tragedy, action and pretty much everything in it. The whole thing is hard to read in one sitting though. Not because it isn't gripping. Oh no, I didn't want to put the book down! But I had to because it's quite heavy...

Apesar o material nao vir num papel de tanta qualidade quanto o Omnibus da Sakura, é muito bom ter toda a saga de Rayearth reunida em UM unico livro. Inclui paginas coloridas, todo material ja publicado das guerreiras. Otima aquisição
