for insert wearers
I wear inserts and have various styles of danskos which can save hurting feet and backs. I am a size 40 which gives me that famous dansko slip with my inserts in. I had to take out the removable insert to get mine in, but over time as the leather stretches that might change. These run larger then expected, but with a Dr schaols liner it is prefect. I wore them all day the first day and my heels just started getting rubbed at the end of the day. the heal is much more narrow then the normal clogs. For me, that is a win on a 1st day wear for shoes. Here is why it is worth messing with fillers or inserts…? These are super cute with pants and skirts if you need a comfortable walking shoe for work. I can walk a mile at work between buildings and these are great, without looking clunky like other danskos. You don't see it clearly, but the back has that patent leather as well which adds a touch of sophistication. If you need a pair of shoes that is practical and business like, these are it. Be prepared for them to run 1/2 size larger… and have a more narrow heel then is usual for this shoe.

Happy with my purchase
I bought these shoes because I stand in one place for long periods of time and wanted something that offered more support, created specifically for people on their feet. I knew I didn't want a clog so I did my research and narrowed my search to these shoes because Dansko has gotten so many good reviews. I read previous reviews that said the shoes were tight across the band but loose in the heel/toe, and because I like my shoe to stay on my foot, I went with my normal shoe size (I wear an 8B normally, bought a 38). Yes, the shoe was tight across the band as the reviewers said and that is why I would say these shoes are somewhat narrow. However, the heel/toe are quite roomy and I would not have liked to have the shoe flip/flop on my feet. Also, having worn the shoes for about 3 hours, it seemed they stretched out a bit and are not as tight now. My ankles/feet/legs didn't hurt at all after standing for 2.5 hours when normally I would ache until the next day.

Lovely shoes, but can't find a size to fit
These shoes are lovely (personal opinion, of course). They are wide enough for my "slightly wider than B width" feet, and would work with business skirts and slacks. I always wear a 37 in Dansko, but these were so long that I couldn't keep them on my feet while walking in nylons. I compared them to my size 37 shoe-like Dansko, and they were just slightly longer. The length is the same as my 37 Dansko clog-shoes--with the clogs, the length is OK, as the top holds the shoe on. Sigh-so I tried the size 36, since I really love the shoes. They were too small--I easily slid my foot inside, but my big toe was crammed up and pinched. On the 37's the patent leather strap across the front squeaked like crazy on both shoes. On the 36's the strap did not squeak. I cannot explain that.

I'd say buy it
I ordered a 9.5 size from another site and got a discount, and they were too big. I returned and they didn't have 9 in stock, so I ordered from amazon. The 9 is just too small. I have a wide foot so sometimes my toes are cramped in 9's so I go 9.5. It seems as though these shoes didn't fit in either size. I suggest going in person to try these on before ordering online. I do wear them about 3 times a week to the office, and have "broken" them in but I still feel a little cramped from time to time. I am hesitant to buy again as these were so much, but I do love the style and the look of these shoes.

Just OK. Not for narrow, bony feet.
I should've known better but these shoes didn't work for my long, narrow, very fine boned feet. I was hoping for some "trade show shoes" that I could wear during the annual convention organized by my work. After a week of walking around on hard concrete floors in a massive convention center you learn to bring comfortable shoes! I think these shoes are sort of matronly but comfortable never equals trendy and cute. Anyway, they would've more suitable for an average width foot with average to low arches. There just wasn't enough support for my long arches and they were too loose around my thin, fine-boned forefoot and toes. Sizing seemed accurate, I am usually an 8, occasionally sizing down to a 7.5 when an 8 is too wide and loose and the 38 was the right length. Anyway I sent them back figuring that for the money I could probably take a gamble to find something that fit better.

Cute but hard and narrow
I got these shoes because they're super cute and I heard they were good for my feet. They're mostly cute. I can walk on them for about 2hrs before they don't feel great. Still, I don't feel like dying.I did have to stretch the heel part because it's EXTREMELY narrow and hard. So, I put on a couple of wool sucks, pushed my foot in it, then used a hair dryer around the heel part (great way of stretching leather shoes). Just be sure not to do it super long or you may ruin it. Still, this worked for me, so now the heel is perfect. I bought other Dansko that ended up giving me blisters. These feel like they would've given me blisters if I hadn't stretched the heel. They also feel heavy when I walk.

A friend (a doctor) recommended the Dansko brand forever to me and others
I never thought I would wear Dansko's ... they're for nurses and doctors right?!? I run a hotel, almost a total desk jockey. Occasionally I have to run around check rooms and find staff members spread thorough out the building. A friend (a doctor) recommended the Dansko brand forever to me and others. I finally caved and bought a pair. I don't think I will EVER buy another brand of shoe. I can't believe how comfortable they are and being able to wear 1 pair of shoes all day and evening, and at the end of the day my feet still feel like they did at the beginning is amazing. I can't recommend them enough.

Cute & Comfortable
This is the first pair of flats I've owned that doesn't hurt my feet after wearing them for a full day of work. I am even able to wear them for consecutive days without my feet hurting. I have several other pairs of Danskos, but this is the first that's a flat. While its arch support isn't quite as strong as my other Danskos, the support far exceeds all other flats I've worn. I'm a size 7.5 shoe, and the size 38 fits me perfectly in both the traditional Dansko styles as well as the flats. They look great with slacks as well as skirts/dresses.
