Ok, so when I was reading the reviews, people were complaining that it wasn't funny and was pretty much the same as every other series Rick Riordan (the author) has written with less likable characters. This is NOT true. It is funny and, seriously, in which other book have you seen the main character as A DEAD PERSON???!!!! To be honest, when I was reading the book description, I thought it would be a book about a zombie (This is not what it's about). Anyway it's super interesting and you should read it. (Plus my name is Rishi and I'm 10 years old)

Book review Title: Magnus Chase and the sword of summer Author: Rick Riordan This book certainly has a nice ring to it. The moment I heard the words " Magnus Chase and the gods of asgard " , I knew it would be interesting. I was right. I remember the day I started reading Magnus Chase as one of the most memorable times with a book that I ever had. I wont give away the entire plot but only a short summary . The book centres around Magnus chase , the son of the god Frey. Magnus lives a normal life until he dies fighting a fire giant named Surt . He ends up in Valhalla ,the place were honourable warriors go when they die. He has to find the sword of summer before Surt finds it. If surt does , he will use it to release Fenris wolf and will doom entire unverse because it will start Ragnarok

First thing i would love to say is...hats off to Rick Riordan. Like i was so sad when the story came to an end. This book is so good that I also bought the next 3 books. I would love to narrate the story here but it would be a spoiler. This is highly recommended for young readers and the readers who are gonna read big books. This book is so good that I am also thinking to b uy other stories of Rick Riordan, such as, Percy Jackson, Kane Chronicles, etc...Must read from my side.

This is my first book by the author and also the first from this genre – mythic fantasy. I purchased a paperback of this book when someone suggested discussing this book on The Book Club. When I started reading, I was shocked out of my wits. The language didn’t seem to fit with mythology. That was until I realised that the “fantasy” part of the genre brings a whole new layer. Well, this book is best suited for teenagers. Though I plodded my way through the book (I can’t stop midway unless a book is truly horrible), I realised at the end that it is not my cup of tea. But apart from that, I can’t deny that the book has been brilliantly written.

Para os que tem medo do idioma, primeiro digo, não tenham, leitura deliciosa e maravilhosa de seguir. Quanto ao livro, particularmente acredito que é o melhor do Rick que já li até agora e afirmo por já ter lido a saga grega, egípcia e romana, espero que os próximos continuem. Magnus é um personagem irônico e completamente divertido, personagens cativantes e focados em seu destino, leitura ráppida e deliciosa, recheada de referências. Quanto ao acabando do livro é a qualidade que só uma Hardcover pode lhe oferecer

My son has abandoned his iPad and has been devouring the book. He has by now nearly finished the second one and the third is in the post. I highly recommend it

I just thought it was so good. The details are amazing. Rick is the best author ever..Truly I love how he ties mythology to modern day.

It must be the best book so far. Thank you for listening to me. I can't WAIT for the next book to come out I know that one will be Really good to. Magnus Chase is a little bit better than the Percy Jackson series... at the first part when Magnus Chase got the Sword of Summer, I was pretty surprised that the Sword of Summer was a piece of metal with a pointy bit. Then I couldn't believe that Magnus Chase DIED. He actually Died? AND, AT THE END (nearly the end) and coming back alive at the start I'm really shocked that the main character dies which in other books that usually NEVER HAPPENS but then I read the rest and I was like happy he came back alive and retrieve the sword of Summer and Battling with other Monsters. Oh yeh and at first I was really disappointed os the Sword because I was thinking the sword of summer a piece of metal then later it was PURE AMAZING.So I strongly recommend this to everyone who likes Fantasy Adventure and Thrilling So I think this is a AWESOME start for a new interesting series so Everybody who are wondering if they should get this book or would it be interesting it is and you wont Regret it.
