To michael d dean: did you clean out the tube with the pin after the first time you used it *before* you let it cool down?

It doesn’t always need “poked”. When it does, Sometimes you can clean it cooled down, but other times it needs to be hot. Take it apart and look at all the parts. You will see where it’s clogged. One place that’s hard to see is the filter. I found, when the filter is clogged, you can peel a layer off and still use it a couple times. It saves having to replace it as much. Once I had the filter clogged and tried using it. The solder got past the heating element but not out of the way to clog it. I had a real hard time poking it out. The solder was cold though the heat was on. That’s how I learned to keep that filter clear.

Which nozzle does this come with?

The kit came with an N61-08 which is a 1.0mm (hole) diameter tip. This a good general purpose tip for most hobbyist through-hole components.
