Fantastic product
This worked so well! I bought a number of other extractors from Home Depot and they did not work at all. This was so easy to use and did the job in a minute. I would highly recommend this.

Pulled Broken Tub Fitting Myself
Renter grabbed the tub filler and sheered it right off the wall. 1/2" female fitting was left with a 1/4" hole where the broken tube came out and into the tub filler. All existing plumbing was set in about a 1/4" and very difficult to get to. I couldn't get pliers on it. Initial thought was to notch it with a grinder and then twist it out with a large screw driver. Then I found this! I started with the medium sized on and it just kept twisting in and making the hole bigger. Then switched to a slightly bigger tool and it twisted right out. Really helpful tool, I'm sure it saved me a ton of money. No need to hire a plumber to sort this out.

Super impressed, these work great!
I had the 1/4" NPT ball valve thread break off deep in the thread of my air compressor tank drain port, and I was struggling to find a good way to remove it. My internal pipe wrenches only go down to 3/8 pipe size, and all the other threaded extractors at the local stores are little short stubby things that wouldn't reach down inside the threaded hole far enough. Well these popped up while searching for a solution, and for the price I couldn't resist giving them a try. I am very happy that I did, the exractor I used did the job beautifully. I used an adjustable wrench and cranked on the extractor, and it dug deep into the brass before finally overcoming the factory thread locker and rust to remove the broken off end of the valve. The chunk came out easily, and there was no damage to the threads in the tank aside from the damage done by the original valve when it broke off. These extractors just work, especially if the fitting is made of a softer metal like brass, bronze, copper, or cast iron. If you have a tough to remove fitting then these are exactly what you need.

Worked for 3/4 pvc. Good price. Case is cheaply made. Durability with metal unknown.
This worked for me for my application: removing a broken 3/4” threaded pvc adapter from an irrigation valve (limited clearance for a longer removal tool). It worked well and was easy to use. The case is okay but pretty low quality and the clear plastic holding the metal elements in is particularly low quality and poorly fixed in place. It would have been nice if the tools had been made to connect to a standard socket wrench but I was able to use an adjustable wrench to grab the square end okay. For the price, speed of availability (overnight!), and size options (I needed the biggest one which HD and Lowe’s didn’t have in stock) this worked out great for me. Not sure how durable the tools are for use with metal pipe and bolts.

Definitely works. Worth the money.
Worked wonderfully. I needed it to fix my shower. A piece of the plastic remained glued in the pipe. Easier to just remove that piece of plastic than to remove the entire piece of pipe, right? Wrong. I found the proper size to fit and get the piece of glued plastic out. It would not stay put so I had to give it a little tap-tap-tap-a-roo just to get it started. Bad idea. It has been wedged in there ever since I bought this tool. It will not turn, it will not come back out so, it is a permanent fixture on my shower until I feel like removing the entire bathtub and repairing the shower. Screw that. I have another bathroom with shower. But the sucker works TOO great. I'm glad I bought it. It is good to have tools for the house. Once I get this removed, I'll put it back into its cool carrying case and be ready for the next time. Just don't tap it with a hammer to get it started.

Worked like a champ!
I had my shower head pipe break off in the wall leaving some of the threading behind in the pipe. That was unexpected and unfortunate. I immediately bought a set of Husky nipple extractors from Home Depot and they were a complete flop, they wouldn't catch on the piece I needed to extract so just turned in the hole, doing nothing. I then did a little research and ended up buying these. Absolutely perfect!! I used the largest one and had the broken piece of the pipe extracted in minutes.

Great for broken shower cartridges
Part of a Moen 1225 shower cartridge broke off in the pipe when I was trying to change it. This extractor set let me get it out quickly without marring the inside of the pipe. Saved me a bunch of money not having to get a plumber out.

It was really stuck in there
Something fell on my air hose reel and snapped off the male fitting connecting it to the compressor. I got this pipe screw extractor set to see if I could back out the nipple that was left inside the 1/2" connection. Unfortunately, that piece was really tight and would not back out. I think this tool might have worked if the piece stuck in there was a little looser or maybe if not wrapped with teflon tape. I tried heating it with a torch and used PB Blaster to try to loosen it, but no luck. Since this tool is tapered, it really bit into the outside edge of the nipple, and the soft brass just compressed and wedged in there. I ended up pulling the connector off the reel, taking it apart (to save the o-rings) and torched it until it was red hot. The nipple got really soft and I was able to bend and pry it out with a small screwdriver without damaging the threads (much :-). I think next time, I would try this Pipe Extractor Tool instead because it is not tapered and should grab the whole nipple evenly.
