I own an older Tsunami 11ft Surf Rod that I love and been using for years. The rod tip had broken off a few times from misuse so I wanted a completely new one to replace the old (although it's fully repaired). I swapped the reels, took it out for some tautog (bait-fishing), and I'm super impressed. It's so light; combining that with the power/action and what you get is a very versatile rod. I like to hold the pole while I'm bait-fishing so the low weight certainly helps with my stamina. I'm not sure what the pinnacle of Surf Rods are but I can say I doubt I will need another rod. For my purposes, this is perfect.

Great fishing rod!
This is a great surf rod. I have used it 4-5 times now and caught a few fish on this rod. I have a Okuma Trio-65 paired with this rod and have no trouble bringing in the fish with it. The 11ft rod is just the right size for me. Casting with this rod is easy as well. I use a 5oz sinker usually when I cast and don't have any problems casting a good distance with this rod. I would definitely buy this again!

Excellent beach rod!
Just used this rod on the beach in Grand Isle, LA and am happily satisfied with its performance. Very light for an 11 foot rod and it didn't take long to get the hang of properly casting it. Happily satisfied!

i paired mine with the Penn spinfisher 10500 to reel in the MONSTERS! Me and all my fishing buddies agree this rod is more then capable of accomplishing just that!

Just purchased this rod, paired it up with an Abu Garcia 7000 series. The rod is attractive, and seems very strong. The action is heavy with just the right amount of bend. I reeled in a Giant Hunk of Seaweed with no problems at all. Maybe one of these days I will reel in a Cow Striper or Big Blue, but for now it's a hunk of seaweed and the rod was Awesome...
