Love these

The dice themselves are pretty good... if your eyesight is good and you're familiar with their quirks. When I say "quirks", I mean that the '6' and the '9' can be difficult to tell apart on the 12 sided die. On the 20 sided, it's not that tough since the sides are triangular and there's a dot under both the 6 and the 9. On the 10-sided, again, the sides are not symmetrical so it's pretty easy to tell when it's a 6 and it's a 9.The 12-sided, however, has pentagonal sides and when I rolled them for the first time and got a 6, I actually had to pick the die up and see what was on the other side ('7') to be certain it was, in fact, a 6. If you look closer, there are some obvious differences. (One, the pattern around the numbers is not perfectly symmetrical and the 9 has a period behind it.)So once you're familar with these quirks, they're perfectly serviceable dice.

The detail on the dice is wonderful. Each die has a different design than the others, but they all keep with the steampunk theme. I almost expected some spillage of the white onto the black of the dice, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the inked bits were all cleanly applied making a great-looking set of dice.I docked 1 point for the packaging. When I received the dice, the little plastic window on the box had moved somehow and all of the dice were rattling around in the envelope. They were all in the envelope, but when I buy something that is labeled "New" I expect it to still be inside the original packaging. Because of the way I received the dice, there's no way for me to definitively say whether these were new or used.

I would give these a 4.5 if I could. These dice are beautiful. The ornate faces make it slightly difficult to read the d20; that said, if you want a really slick looking set of dice, it is worth the compromise. I would have rated these 5 stars except one face on the d20 has part of one of the numbers unpainted. The surface is recessed and I plan to repaint the missing section. All-in-all, I will happily buy more of the pathfinder dice sets. Despite the tiny flaw, these are high quality and beautiful dice.

Beautiful set of dice with a wonderful level of detail. I have only two complaints: the dice don't really have that 'carved' feeling,as all the fantastic detail seems to get lost in the plastic construction. Second, when I received the dice, the package they came in was a little off, with the blurb on the back containing some broken English. However, the dice roll well and are of a fairly sturdy construction, in addition to looking great. I will definitely buy more from Q-Workshop in the future based on the quality of this set.

I received my set about 2 weeks ago and I am very impressed with the amount of detail that has gone into these die. The intricate white designs on the sleek black back really make them pop. The only problem I have with them IS the detail. While the details are fantastic, the patterns almost blend into the numbers too well, making reading the numbers a little hard to read. Easily rectified, however, by leaning forward ever-so-slightly from the abdominal region and tilting the head a little closer to the die ;) All in all, a phenomenal die set. I use them the most now and am very happy with them!

These are wonderfully carved and not just a sticker or painted on images. They roll wonderfully, though I wish that 20 would pop up more often. The only criticism I have is that they are very light and thats not really an issue just something to keep in mind. Ordered these for me and I love pulling them out for a game.

This set was purchased to be used at home during game design. I consider the faces too cluttered for use during game play. The faces are not unreadable, but when the action is fast and fluid it does tend to slow down number recognition, and this multiplies slowing play slightly. I do enjoy them while contemplating various machinations to be used against my players.

So you play Pathfinder. Or D&D. Or Alternity. Or D20 Modern. Or any other role playing game that requires the regular rolling of multi sided dice. And every time you need to check for traps, or thump an orc in the face, you reach into your dice bag and get out the same old, boring looking gem or stone dice. You've poured so much effort into crafting a perfectly filled out character, so why would you skimp on the one thing that determines how they interact with the world around them, the dice?This set of Dice contains all the required pieces for any standard roleplaying game - D4, D6, D8, D10, D100, D12 and D20. Each is imprinted with a pattern and set of numerals that wouldn't look out of place in a fantasy, steampunk or even modern arcane setting. The design is bold and bright, but still easy to read the result (as so many designer dice unfortunately fail to achieve).My only reservation about the dice is the printing of 9s and 6s (especially on the D20), which while they contain a pip to highlight orientation, aren't as clear as they could be. Alongside this, the D20 substitutes the 20 with a glyph representing a critical hit... which while nice, is not particularly immersive when your character criticals on a 19-20, or if you're playing a system such as 2e which requires lower hits.All in all, if your character fits well into this type of design and illustration, you probably won't be disappointed.

Purchased as a gift for a steampunk fan and he was quite thrilled with the look and quality. Would buy again.

Neat dice. They have all of the numbers and everything. Never shall you accidentally roll a 6 on your d4 again, or ace without actually using any dice (gm privileges notwithstanding).If you have to roll some dice to decide on how many loafs of bread you need or whether you should drive into a lake or not; these are for you.

Great design. Top set of all the die I have. Really great buy. Highly impressed.
