How do I activate this phone?

You need a 5g Sim card from your carrier or if they offer it, they can issue an e-sim which is basically and authorization that they send to your phone. Once you get the phone follow the set-up process. If you have an apple account, sign in with your user name and when it asks, you can restore all your settings, contacts and apps from your previous phone. You'll need to be connected to a wifi to do this. Then contact your carrier to activate the phone. You'll need to give them the IEMI number that should be printed on the box or on a card in the box that the phone came in.
