Alki'i V-Neck Double Fabric Bodice with A-line Drape Silvia Dress

Hmmm...Well, lets start with the positive.The color is great- the charcoal is a lovely dark true charcoal grey color-much better than what is pictured. The material is soft right out of the package and there is no odd smell.The cons~I am 5'1, a size 12, 36DD and here's how it fits..I got the "charcoal" size large (12) and...I look like I am wearing a 1960's prison issue dress and could suddenly hear Johnny Cash singing. It is not flattering at all. I disappeared. Maybe even a medium would have been a better and more flattering fit???.The back bunches at the natural waist true to the photo.It does not hit at the knees like it does on the model and I knew it wouldnt due to my shortness, but seriously, this dress hits me 5 inches above my ankles, so it's dang near full length (it IS "tea" length) on shorties. If I hike it up and bring it up to knee length as on the model, it looks much better and a bit more flattering. So I am debating on keeping and just having it altered.It is not ultra tailored throughout the bodice even though I have boobies abounding and gives ample arm movement but I thought for hot or muggy days that would be good so it wasn't clinging to me and great for cold months for layering with fleece tights and cuddle duds thermals.It is an empire waist and can't decide if thats ok because of the whole Folsom blues I get when I put it on. if I can get over looking like a 1960's female convict, I think a lighter color would definitely help (the peachy "clay" or a blue. I think the "olive" would present the same overwhelming prison dress issue). I'll give myself another day to decide the frocks fate.

This is a great dress. I was skeptical, but based on the reviews I gave it a try. I am 5'5", 136 lbs, 34B, a little belly flab. I don't like tight dresses, but I also don't like them to drape open in the front when you bend over (being flat-chested this is always a problem). No worries with this dress - it is fitted a bit on top so it stays in place, and then it flows out from an empire waist to draw attention away from the belly. I also like the cap sleeves. It is a modest dress, perhaps I will hem it an inch or two shorter so it falls just above my knee (right now it skims the bottom of my knee cap). The first time I wore it was a 95 degree (Fahrenheit) day with 60% humidity. The dress was comfortable. Yes, I sweat (everyone did!) but the fabric was light and breathable. I washed it, and it came out of the wash fine. I did not use a dryer, just aired dried. Seems to be in fine shape. I plan to use the dress on vacation, I hope it packs well and doesn't wrinkle. I bought blue, it is a nice shade of slate blue.

Good quality fabric with stretch like cotton spandex . Nice cut as well. But the bust will be too tight for anyone who is bigger than a c cup.

Nice comfortable but classy cotton dress. The fabric is 95% cotton, 5% spandex and has a tad of a texture to it. It says wash cold and hang dry, but since I needed it quickly I washed warm and dried low, it didn't warp my dress at all and no fuzzies/pills (for the one washing anyway). Ordered in black for a funeral, wore with beige heels and it looked nice without looking too casual. Perfect length too, fell long enough on the leg to not look slutty nor too conservative. Definitely not a mini-dress. The material isn't see-through which is great considering everything is so cheaply made these days.Only complaint/reason for 4 stars is in the sleeves/armpit area, the cut in the dress left the armpit area a little more exposed pulling toward the front then it should. Nothing critical nor scandalous, everything remained hidden that needed to, but heads up so you aren't disappointed.

The bust line is in the middle of my bust, not under. I read one comment that said for busty, but deffinetely not, I am F cup and doesnt fit. (Ordered an XL)Nice fabric and style but small, I will return this

I loved this dress. Nice fabric, not too stretchy or flimsy. Sorry they didn't have brighter colors in my size, Large. Had to choose from gray, olive, black and brown :(I am a 40C. The bust felt tight out of the package and shows a fair amount of cleavage. Unlike the picture for me.Also unlike the picture the dress is tight to the body on me. It seems to be stretching with wearing, as cotton often does. It doesn't look bad, just not as pictured. If you don't like the sheath look, maybe order a size larger? I wear a 14 in all my other dresses or a Large. I also loved the length on me. I am 5' 6", and it hits just over my knees. This is what makes it hard for me to order clothes online.

I really like this dress. It is comfortable and the fabric is very breathable. I am 5'8", 132 lbs, flat tummy and 34B in the chest. I am in good shape, but I don't have a tiny waist and I am high waisted. I find this dress to look flattering on me. It is not clingy anywhere and there is plenty of room for movement. I normally wear size 4-6 (or 8UK) and small fits perfectly. The skirt falls just above my kneeI have not washed it yet. I have two little boys and I homeschool. Simplicity is welcomed in my life and in my home. This dress fits my needs. I can run after my kids, move freely, and feel comfortable while wearing a cute dress! If the dress is drastically different after the wash I will update my review. So far, I am very happy with it. Definitely going for more colors to get ready for Spring and Summer in Texas!

I normally wear a size medium, and a medium in this dress fit perfectly. I'm somewhat short-waisted, but this dress fit me pretty well. The gathering at the neckline is flattering, and the back lays nice & smooth (not tight to cause lumps). I'm 5'2" and this hits an inch or two below my knees, so I'll likely have it hemmed shorter. I ordered it in red, and it's a really nice bright red shade that gets lots of attention. It's made of a nice soft cotton knit material that's double-layered so it's cool but not see through. It's 5% spandex so it has a nice stretch to it too.
