IKEA TUFFING Bunk Bed Frame

i didn't purchase the bunk bed, but i got the loft bed which is pretty much the same. It was a PIA to put together. the mesh stuff was actually the problem. I also highly recommend you glue the 2 part screws together prior to putting together cuz if you mess up and say have to unscrew it the whole piece will come out instead of just the top. Also you are going to need a empty room or room enough to tip it on its side. it does seem very sturdy but really they need to re think the mesh part. mainly the part under the mattress that is a PIA. you could probably forgo the whole mesh. it seems more for looks than functionality. took about 6 hours for me to put together.

Perfect for our needs, we have smaller twin boys that are 5 years old. A conventional bunk bed is to high off the ground and, leaves a good chance of injury if there is an accidental fall. This bed eliminates the potential for injury, by being closer to the ground.

We just bought this for our boys the slates are very uncomfortable we have a pad mattress and a thin spring mattress and both you can feel the metal bars underneath they are spread pretty far from each other too I was a little disappointed but the boys are ok with it so far
