Flimsy

It don't fit the actual size that it stated. It says it can stretch too fit my a/c unit but it doesn't fit at all. I want too return it back

This window kit arrived in a plain cardboard box, there was no official product packaging or leaflet included. In the box: 1 x Left side curtain frame, 1 x Right side curtain frame, 1 x strip of foam, 1 x strip of sticky foam, 4 x metal fasters and 8 x screws. The window frame is made of plastic with a concertinaed curtain that pulls across to close the gap on either side of the ac unit. Each frame is labeled: 1 x right and 1 x left. This fits my Toshiba RAC-WK0512CMRU model perfectly. This AC unit was given to me and it does not have the upper bracket which I need to purchase to make this set up sturdier. The installation is clearly shown in one of the photos in the listing. Having these panels fitted makes the whole window unit look neat and clean. When ordering this item you need to double check the height measurements of your window air conditioning unit to ensure a good fit. Overall this set has everything you need and when comparing this to similar ac kits this is priced slightly lower. The average costs appears to be around the $35 range so this is a good price.

I was not sure these would work at all. I have a 5,000 BTU window AC that a friend gave me after finding it on the street. It was clearly unused, but it had no side “wings,” and the brand marking had been removed, so I had no useful way to look up the exact OEM part. For three seasons I had jury-rigged my own side panels out of plastic channel board from a craft store. That worked until this year, when the UV finally destroyed them. Like Icarus, my homemade AC wings flew too close to the sun and disintegrated into a sad, ragged shell. Then, while trying to improve the seal, I shifted the AC around, and somehow water from the attic AC started leaking down the sill and into my daughter’s bedroom. It took me two weeks to figure out what was happening. Very relaxing. Highly recommend as a summer mystery. Finally, I tried these panels. They slipped on, fit perfectly, and solved the problem. Since I do not even know what brand my AC is, I am assuming these are generic enough to fit a lot of modern 5,000 BTU units. Mine looked exactly like the one in the product photos, so apparently there is some secret mouse-army standard for little window ACs that I was unaware of. Compared with paying $100+ for OEM replacement wings, this is fantastic. Usually I am a stickler for specs, measurements, and compatibility details, but in this case it just worked. I am delighted. Bought this for my small window AC unit in my bedroom. Please be sure to measure the unit, as these side panels are specific to this size and won't fit larger units. The kit came with two panels and foam installation, which was great to have. The side panels look nice and clean and appear to be new. The side panels performed as necessary and kept the outside air out. Easy enough to use: just ensure the sides stay open and tape up any gaps. I would say these are good value for your money, as they are simple to use and fit my AC unit.
