Wilton Black Sparkle Gel, 3.5 oz.

I loved this stuff! So pretty with the hint of sparkle! It worked really well also - hardly any air bubbles and only the occasional stutter in flow which was really easy to fix, and sooooo easy to use for someone who is NOT a professional cake decorator like me! As for the taste... it tastes just like every other frosting product out there and I couldn't tell any difference when eating it along with a store-bought sheet cake. it tastes just like regular frosting if you ask me. I don't know what people expect from a packaged product, but I thought it tasted fine. Not great, of course! It's in a tube! I mean, really? It's plenty good enough for casual parties and kids and family and if you like frosting (like my husband does) he thought it was really sweet and really good and complimented the cake flavors really well. He gave it two thumbs up! Overall, Best cheater-piping product I've ever used!

The tube is easy to use, just a light squeeze and the gel is coming out. Squeeze harder for thicker gel and a light squeeze for a thin line of gel. It's a vibrant red and the glitter is noticeable. To me, it doesn't have much of a taste, which is nice, it doesn't taste sugary. It's an effective decorative addition, really enhancing the design of the treat! I was happy, and after decorating 16 cupcakes, I've got plenty leftover.

Cheaper in stores but I could not find it so I bought it here. Lovely vibrant black color , the sparkles could show as well. Pretty much what you are buying is exactly what you are getting. No surprises. Have fun making your cake!

Great for Christmas cookie decorating

I had dropped it off to a bakery to write my daughter's name on her birthday cake they made. The baker said the color was a lot closer to yellow than gold (I agree after see it). The gel was too liquid and ran atop the cake. The bakery had to scrape the gel off and start over to salvage the cake. Very disappointing and surprising given that it is from Wilton.

I looked everywhere for this sparkle gel and could not find it in stores, so I was thrilled to find it on Amazon!! I used it to make realistic-looking water for the waterfall on my dinosaur-themed cake. It turned out perfectly! Everybody at the party loved how real the water looked. It was very easy to apply and spread around with a knife. And I still have plenty left for the next cake.

It’s ok. Doesn’t have a lot of noticeable sparkle at all which is what I wanted.

Works really well

It's way over priced for such a small tube. But was desperate for black.

Bought this gel as I had seen it recommended to look like water when decorating a cake. It was so perfect and turned and brilliant on my sons birthday cake to create a waterfall, on top of white buttercream, it even created ‘rapid look’ water. 10/10 would highly recommend, great price too!
