Professionally tested and approved!
I work in agriculture and we always have need for a good soil probe to run tests for farmers. I am 5'5 and this is a perfect height for me. The foot pedal is die enough for me to get good balance, and tough enough that it doesn't move even when I put my full weight on it. The angled tip is new for me, as I typically use flat ended soil probes. The pointy end does indeed help pierce the soil with more ease than normal, but that also requires me to keep up with the little rubber cap that goes on the end during storage. I work in mostly sandy soil, so the little tool that comes with it for removing the packed in soil is almost unnecessary. However, I did find some heavier soil to test out and this tool certainly comes in handy, especially when it packs up near the end and it's hard to bump out. Overall its a very nice soil sampler. I do wish the handles came with caps, as they are open tubes, but not a deal breaker.

Great tool for getting uniform soil samples. Built like a tank, handling hard soil very well.
This works great, even in my hard soil. The tool is extremely sturdy and well made, and the edge comes nice and sharp for digging into soil. After hitting several rocks it even took a new edge very easily with a couple of minutes work with a metal file. The little tool that is included for loosening up the soil is handy, and does double duty pulling up weeds. The foot rest is very strong and can easily handle my 200+ lb weight bearing down on it without showing any signs of weakness or jiggle. This is an absolutely fantastic tool for gathering soil samples from around your property, and even works great in raised beds. The heft may not be needed in softer garden soil, but the nice even plugs it pulls are fantastic for getting uniform samples from several locations quickly.

serious lawn care
This is the perfect tool for home gardeners who are serious about their lawn. It allows me to see exactly how deep my roots are going and if I have any thatch issues. The high-quality stainless steel is incredibly strong; I hit a few small roots and the tip didn't bend or dull at all. The 36-inch length is perfect because it saves me from having to bend over constantly.

Good Soil Tester
This is very well made and feels like a solid tool that will hold up. The stainless steel construction gives it a durable feel, and it should handle repeated use without any issues which is what I believe makes this a good value for the money. It does a good job pulling consistent soil samples, even at deeper depths. The length is helpful for getting a more accurate picture of what is going on below the surface. I also like the included tool for clearing out the sample. It makes the process easier and keeps you from having to dig soil out by hand. If you have ever had to do that, you know what I mean when it is compacted in there. Itโs nice to have something like this on hand so I donโt have to make 2 round trips to borrow one from the extension office when I need it to send off my soil samples. The cost saved in diesel alone for those drives makes buying one of these for the farm worth it. My final thoughts are that this is a dependable, well built tool that makes soil sampling much more convenient.

Simple and Sturdy Tool for Lawn Care
Trying to figure out what my lawn needs meant I finally had to take proper soil samples from around the yard. This stainless steel probe easily pushes deep into the dirt and pulls up a perfectly clean core every single time. The T-handle provides great leverage so I do not have to strain my back when hitting tougher patches of clay. The included metal tool for pushing the soil out of the tube is incredibly helpful and keeps my hands completely clean. It feels very heavy duty and the metal shows zero signs of bending even when I hit a hidden rock. At thirty six inches long it is the perfect height to use without doing a lot of awkward bending over. Cleanup just takes a quick spray from the garden hose and it looks brand new again. It is a straightforward piece of equipment that makes gathering accurate soil tests very simple.

Heavy-Duty Soil Sampler That Makes Testing Easy
This 36-inch soil sampler probe is a sturdy, well-built tool that makes collecting soil samples simple and efficient. The stainless steel construction feels solid and durable, giving confidence that it will hold up well through repeated use in lawns, gardens, or farm soil. The long 36" design allows you to reach deeper soil layers for more accurate sampling, while the T-handle provides good leverage and control when pushing the probe into the ground. It pulls clean, consistent core samples that are ideal for soil testing and analysis, and the included cleaning tool is a helpful addition for removing soil and small debris from the sampler without using your hands. Overall, this is a practical, heavy-duty soil sampling tool that works well for gardeners, landscapers, and anyone wanting better insight into their soil conditions.
