The health benefits of psyllium are proven by multiple studies. Being all fiber, it works for constipation and diarrhea. It lowers cholesterol and makes sugar absorption from food more even which is especially useful for diabetics. Psyllium is the main ingredient of Metamucil Psyllium Fiber Supplement Capsules 160 Count (Pack of 2) .It is also used as a thickener for ice creams and binder for baked goods. For cooking purposes, powder psyllium is better than husk Now Foods Psyllium Husk Powder, 24-Ounce . My mother gave this Telephone brand of psyllium for diarrhea and constipation when I was a child: with yogurt for diarrhea (no lactose) and with milk for constipation. In my adult life I use it with yogurt as my breakfast for cholesterol lowering and glycemic properties. By adding some antioxidants like dates or blueberries you can make it even healthier. Psyllium husk is much better than psyllium powder to use in yogurt, much less likely to get stuck in throat and esophagus. Amazon has it at a good price and now I do not buy it from Indian grocery stores.

The Best psyllium husk in the market! It is from India. quality is pretty good, very white and clean. I have been trying many brands. So far , this brand is the best. I will discard all other brands such as "Now" “Yerba Prima”

Great price, easy to use, great health benefits
Psyllium husks have been part of my morning routine for years, not to solve any GI issues, but to maintain and enhance health. I like this particular brand because it mixes well in water (and I'm sure it would also be fine in yogurt as other reviewers have testified) and it has a neutral taste. I also love that it's available through Subscribe & Save, making it even more inexpensive. Win/win all around.
