36 Inch Gas Cooktop

This replace a GE has cooktop that I installed 25 years ago. Fit the opening without alterations. Gas line connection was in a different location, so cabinet modifications needed. S substantial upgrade from previous.

Cooktop is great and is behaving how we’d expect. A couple of items to think about: 1) it is likely that the top will scratch. If that is going to be an issue, don’t buy this. 2) the cook top puts out serious heat. Careful if you have pots with plastic holders, cause they will melt. 3) make sure you measure the spot where you are getting the cooktop installed. I was off by a 1/16 of an inch, and ended up having to get the granite slab opened up a little more 4) I had an amazon contractor install the cooktop and make sure the gas line was correctly tightened. They were great, and I would use them again if I buy something that needs professional installation. P

Just came in today and installed the unit. Easy install and setup to get this running. Works like a charm and no issues with the product so far. We'll definitely get a lot of use out of it. Quite like the various burner options and the smaller simmer burner in the middle of the largest burner. The child lock is also a nice add since we have a little one. Overall it isn't fancy, but it is very clean looking and the lights on the knobs add a nice modern touch. Very happy with this purchase and goes well with other GE Profile / Cafe appliances we have.

Nice cooktop, love the griddle. Kimd of surprised it does not auto reignite, ive already bee caught off guard when i turned up too high amd the flame went out only to smell gas. Unit is not advertised with this feature apprently so what can i say other than i should have read closer. Overall still a nice unit for a good price.

Easy to install, as long as your counter cut out is the correct dimensions. The lock out knob is what had us choose this model, as we liked this feature with our grandchildren, and counter surfing puppy. The light up control knobs, lets you know that a burner is on. This is helpful if you have a pot on low, and can not see the flames. It came with a griddle.

This product was extremely difficult to find at any of the big box stores and through GE. We were so excited when we found it on Amazon. It was shipped fast and in perfect condition. So happy we ordered it!

Had to return item . It was too deep for the space.

I cannot believe a cooktop this expensive has PLSTIC KNOBS which are in. Position where touching them, nd melting them, with a hot pan is literally INEVITABLE. In fact, it happened to me the very first time I used it. REALLY?
