Works well with my pool light.

Item was described by seller and arrived in timely manner. Price was reasonable for the product. I was looking for a smaller footprint 12VAc 5Amp waterproof transformer for some pool lighting. This fits the bill perfectly. It fits in the pool equipment enclosure perfectly. The only minor down side it wasn’t color coded for US (black- hot & white- neutral) scheme. It uses (brown- hot blue- neutral) as in Europe color scheme.

I purchased this converter to power this light (Roleadro Led Pool Lights, Waterproof IP68 47W RGB Swimming Pool Light Multi Color, 12V AC Led Inground Pool Light Control with Remote Controller 6ft). For further info about this set up, check out my review on that light. I was able to mount this inside my breaker box (I know, it's frowned upon) because I have tons of room in that breaker box, and ....it was the easiest option for me. I tied it all in with the existing wiring (#12 solid) and it's working like a charm. It runs from my breaker box to a switch and back (about 15' total) then to the light (about 50'). No issues at this point. The unit is solid and seems to be well built.

This unit has been very reliable and has stood up to the elements. We have bought a few of these now for different parts of our property.

UPDATE: The unit was not the problem. A malfunctioning GFCI was the problem. The unit works as it should.

This was simple to install, and nice and small. My only wish would be for an option for screw terminal connections, so that I did not have to use waterproof wire nuts. It would make for a cleaner look.

I’m using this transformer to power up my low-voltage LED landscape lighting. And then I have a Leviton Wi-Fi smart switch for power control that works with Apple HomeKit for remote control and daily scheduling. Works great and it’s an inexpensive solution.

Use for a underwater swimming pool light. Used over a year and it is a solid performer. Would buy again if price remains competitive!

My Dad(an electrician) was able to rig wiring to make this transformer power a Mr. Christmas projector. This was the most cost effective way we were able to find here in Canada to replace the dead transformer that came with the above stated projector. Unlike the transformer that came with the projector(it died after 2 nights use, even though we followed to the letter how it needed to be hooked up and how much power it needed)....This one worked great all through Christmas season for about a month, then we put it away til next year. Would certainly recommend it!!
