An amazing little bulb that's saving me more power than I ever expected...
I've at last bucked the trend - I came to the conclusion that, at least for me, I did NOT need my ambient room light, even in my bedroom, to be at least a tad 'warm' for me to be able to sleep properly, as the current widely propagated 'received wisdom' tells us. What I did need, instead of my warm-side-of-white (and decidedly 'warm' for bedroom and bathroom) LED bulbs was uncompromising 6500K colour temperature bulbs, giving a full homogenized middle-of-day colour, BUT at a rather lower power than I'd had to be using with the warmer-coloured bulbs. (Yes, there really is method in my madness - I'm not just a funny face, you know! :-) ) Initially I bought my first 6-pack of this bulb just to put one into my bedside lamp holder, but I was taken aback to find it was a bit too bright for that position, though I continued to use it till I could find a 4W 6500K bulb to use instead there (which I did find eventually, and it's great). But I liked this little bulb's light and its almost sun-like brilliance to look at (slight exaggeration, but still making a point), and decided I'd order splitter adaptors so I could use two of these for each of my two living room hanging room lights, making it 10W each instead of the lovely-bright 12W 6500K bulbs I'd just obtained for those positions. But owing to a wait for supply of the splitters, I got a funny little hunch - let's try replacing the brilliant 12W bulbs each with just one of these little 5W wonders! I use only one lamp position at a time in my living room, depending whether I'm at computer end or diner end of the room. At first my feeling was the illumination was a bit too dim, and indeed I'd need to use the splitters when they arrive, with two of these little bulbs on each. But another funny little hunch guided me to put away the 12W bulbs anyway and see what it's like living with this lower brightness, because the light is so different and more natural than that mind-numbingly unnatural 'warm' light of my earlier LED bulbs, and maybe I really don't *need* so much illumination most of the time. At the computer that lower light level, of that 6500K colour, proved to be perfectly workable and much more restful than having a lot of light around there, while at the diner end the obvious thing to do when sitting at the dining table was to turn on my old but still excellent 2.7W 'strip'-type LED reading light, which gives more or less identical colour light to these new room-light bulbs, so I have excellent illumination for eating or working there. -- And, you know what? - I haven't at all felt any need or urge to have any brighter light there, as I would definitely if these bulbs had been of a warmer colour. So, I don't need the splitters at all, and have one of these 5W bulbs now as main light in all rooms - kitchen (with strategically placed 7000K reading light giving augmentation in sink / food preparation area), bathroom, bedroom, diminutive hallway, and little store room. Over about a week now, after the initial unfamiliarity on the first day the light level everywhere in my flat has felt 'just right', so I'm no longer giving a second thought to swapping any of the room light bulbs for anything brighter. To help other customers make their own best choice of bulb power, I should point out that I live in a modest-size housing association single flat, so clearly people with larger rooms to illuminate, more powerful bulbs would be needed to achieve a similar illumination level to what I'm getting. To sum up therefore, thanks to this little 5W bulb I now have the 'friendliest' and cheapest lighting (cost of bulbs and of the power to feed them) that I've ever had, and recommend other people with modest-size rooms to try using these bluer-daylight bulbs to get a natural daylight environment at a not-very-bright level - while keeping one's old 'warmer' bulbs just for the moment so you can revert to them partially or wholly if necessary - and see if you sleep better with the warmer but brighter or the 'cooler' but less bright option.

Improved safety.
I'm pleased that I took a chance on this purchase. Super bright, clean fresh white light & I can definitely walk up & down my stairs & hall safely ; They light up the whole place awesomely. A lot brighter than I was expecting, so I might try a lesser power bulb next time, but I really like the clean & fresh light experience, much nicer than incandescent light bulbs which have a "so-called warm white (more like yellow... yuck)". A fantastic bargain if you're considering swapping out all your old incandescent grubby yellow light bulbs. Took a few minutes to get used to the brightness, but very pleased with the purchase.

Pretty bright
Had reason to use one of these for the first time recently. Can't speak to the longevity as I hope it will last many months before needing replaced but nice features are that it's a diffuse bright light so less like a star and more like a bright morning. Having said that, they don't warm up like older bulbs and are VERY bright! The girlfriend is a little light sensitive and isn't particularly happy but we have a night light for the evening and having that clear, bright light in the morning is perfect for shaving. :)

2 of the bulbs blew within 2 weeks of installation. The light was barely used during the time frame. Very disappointing.

Les ampoules sont opaques, je pensais qu'elles étaient transparentes , comme celles de mon lustre. Je ne l'ai pas vu spécifié sur le descriptif
