Made my Ranger run much better
Embarrassed to admit that I never changed the fuel filter on my Ford Ranger. Much better price than at the parts store. My truck IMMEDIATELY ran so much better with improved gas mileage after installing this replacement. Getting the hoses off was a bit tricky.

Real Motorcraft filter
Nice heavy duty made in America fuel filter. I haven't put it in yet, but the quality is unmatched with generic. Im actually about to pull a cheap duralst off, and put it on tomorrow.

Helped with sluggish acceleration
2011 Ford Ranger 2.3L 70k miles had some sluggish acceleration when applying half throttle or more....you could feel the acceleration pickup as you let off the throttle as you came down past around the 50% mark. I tried new plugs & wires, air filter, injector cleaner, MAF cleaned, it all made it a tiny bit better, but the problem still persisted. Finally, this new fuel filter fixed it. It was fuel starvation due to a clogged filter all along! Probably was the original filter. Super easy install, not much gas leaked out, but have a small pan ready anyways. Wear your safety glasses and be prepared for a little fuel spray to come out.

If you are having fuel pressure problems change the filter first.
Purchased for my 2007 Ranger. It filters the fuel just as it should. I did not need any tools to remove the 3 fuel line connectors. I recommend relieving the fuel pressure first before changing the filter. It is not a pleasant experience to have fuel sprayed all over you under a vehicle. The 2007 Ranger 3.0L returns fuel to the tank from the filter. I cut the old filter open and filtered fuel is returned to the tank from the inside of the element. If you are having fuel pressure problems change the filter first.
