I’ve been on a bit of a mission lately to find the perfect coffee mug. Living down here in Florida, the humidity is no joke, and I’m tired of my iced coffee "sweating" all over my desk within five minutes. Plus, I travel a lot for work, so when I’m actually home, I want my morning routine to feel a little more "premium" than just drinking out of a chipped ceramic mug. That’s pretty much why I pulled the trigger on this set of PunPun 17oz double-walled glasses. I wanted something that looked cool, held a decent amount of caffeine, and wouldn't leave a ring on my end tables. My expectations were pretty straightforward: I wanted a mug that actually kept my coffee hot while I was distracted by emails, and I wanted it to be durable enough for daily use. After using these for a few weeks, I’d say they mostly hit the mark, but there are definitely some trade-offs you should know about before buying. The Good Stuff (Pros) First off, the "floating" look is legit. If you’re into making lattes or even just seeing the color of your tea, these things look amazing. It’s like a little science experiment on your coaster. Temperature Control: They definitely keep my coffee hot longer than a standard mug. It’s not a Yeti—heat still escapes from the top—but the double-wall design does its job. No Sweating: This is the big one for me in Florida. I can put a bunch of ice in here for an iced Americano, and the outside stays bone-dry. No condensation, no mess. The Handle: For a glass mug, the handle is surprisingly sturdy and large enough for a comfortable grip. It doesn't feel like it's going to snap off when the mug is full. Lightweight: They feel almost weightless compared to heavy stoneware, which is nice when you're carrying a full 17oz of liquid around. The Not-So-Good (Cons) Now, for the reality check. These are made of borosilicate glass, which is heat-resistant but also notoriously thin. Fragility: You have to "baby" these. I’m always a little nervous when I set them down on my granite counters. One wrong bump in the sink and I’m pretty sure they’d shatter. The Dishwasher Trap: Even though some listings say they’re dishwasher safe, don't do it. There’s a tiny silicone plug at the bottom that seals the air gap. If that fails, you’ll get water trapped between the walls. Hand wash only is the way to go. Size: 17oz is a lot of mug. It’s great for a big morning pour, but it might be too tall for some smaller single-serve coffee machines. Value for Money & Practical Use For a set of two, the price is actually really fair. You’re getting that high-end "boutique cafe" vibe without spending forty bucks on a name-brand version. I use mine every single day—mostly for my morning hot coffee, but they’re also perfect for a cold beer or a gin and tonic in the evening because of that insulation. Final Verdict: Did they meet my expectations? Yeah, they did. They look great and keep my drinks at the right temp. Just know that you’re buying glass, not armor. If you’re okay with hand-washing them and being a little careful, they’re a solid upgrade to your kitchen cabinet.

Using these for tea mostly - there’s just something about seeing your drink! They seem solid in the hand, the handles provide plenty of gripping room, and the double insulation walls act exactly as they should. Haven’t had any visible water inside them yet but I do always hand wash as advised. Accidentally dropped one recently and suspected it would be broken, but it was absolutely fine. Definitely would buy again.

Some reviewers have complained that these are too fragile but so far mine are great. I've been using them on a daily basis for three weeks for a number purposes: hot cocoa, cold milk, ice cream, cereal, etc. I recognize that they are indeed made of very thin glass and therefore I handle them with care in the same way I treat some crystal wine glasses that I have. I hand wash them and and am careful to avoid knocking them up against the sink or other hard surfaces. Mine are the 16oz size which I find perfect for the various ways that I use them. Because of the two layers it makes them good for holding temperature which works great for both hot stuff as well as cold. I also like the look which is rather elegant in my opinion. BTW, a few reviewers have complained about the very small (nearly invisible) glue plug on the very bottom of each glass and some have even tried to remove this . . which is a mistake to do. The literature that comes with the mug explains that this little spot of clear glue is an important seal that plugs the small hole that is necessary in order to manufacture glassware of this type (double layer). They clearly state that this plug needs to be there and that you should not mess with it.

I really like these mugs and I bought them to use with my Espresso Machine to have cappuccinos and lattes. I use them almost every day. They're very lightweight and seem flimsy, but they're not. They're sturdy, but also delicate. They're constructed very well and good quality, but they're double-walled so the glass is a bit thinner than most single walled glass coffee mugs. I mean....it's glass, so of course if you were to drop them or bang them against something, they most likely would break. You just have to be careful and take care of them. Wash them by hand and don't put them in a dishwasher. The force of the water or a shifting of a dish or other item in the dishwasher that bangs into them could cause them to crack or break. Also, I wouldn't put these in the microwave, except for may 30 seconds just to warm a beverage. They do keep the beverage very hot and for a longer time than a regular ceramic coffee mug or other mug. Also, the outer glass is not hot at all. It has a handle, which is comfortable and sturdy, but if you were to hold the glass by the outer wall, you wouldn't burn your hands. Like I said, I've been using these glass mugs almost every day for my cappuccinos and lattes and I think they're great. I've used them for my steaming hot drinks and for iced drinks. I haven't noticed any depreciation or wear and tear on the glass. There glass is very clear and there are not scratches nor has it incurred any scratches since I've been using them. I've been using these for about 2 months now and there have been no issues and I like them very much. I would purchase these again.

Great quality! it’s a good size, not too small. This type of cup keeps your coffee, tea etc… nice and hot for a long time while the exterior stays cool.

I got these because I was tired of my coffee being luke warm before I finish it. I don't gulp it down, so it was always getting unpleasantly cool before I'd finish it. Vacuum mugs like the Contigo are effective, and great for use in the car, but I don't like the aesthetic. Moreover, coffee actually has a different, and better, taste when sipped from a glass or ceramic mug. These really do the job. Coffee stays hot to the last drop. Amazingly so. On the outside of the mug, you'd never guess the coffee is still hot, because it is cool to the touch. Nice big handles too, which I like. The glass is light weight and feels quite fragile, but I haven't had a problem in normal use. I didn't assume they would be unbreakable, and any of the mugs I was using would break if dropped. These have fared quite well in the dishwasher and microwave. After brewing a cup, I add a splash of cream and put it in the microwave for 30 seconds to get it all good and hot. I was worried that the design of these wouldn't allow for that, but the listing said it would and I can vouch for that as well. An added benefit is being able to see the beautiful java in the cup (as well as being able to tell at a glance how much is left in the cup!). Happy with my purchase, and mindful that they need to be treated with a bit of care, as befits an elegant coffee cup!

this is an attractive mug. it fits my small hand perfectly. i have nerve damage in hands so this very light mug is great for that. husband says it feels comfortable with his larger hands. i love the lightwt feel to it. i love the topper for it. i can use it on other glasses as well. all that is 5 stars. what i dont like is the thinness of the glass. it feels VERY FRAGILE. i am scared to pour hot fresh coffee into the mug without prewarming it to prevent breakage. (especially in winter, the room temp of the glass is very cold) i am hesitant to microwave cooled coffee in the mug for the same reason. i have read breakages and intrusion into the layers and am worried about it. i did not notice the double walled glass maintaining heat longer. overall, i regret my purchase but will keep the product. its too fiddly for a working mug of daily coffee use and reheating. i will use it for fancy coffees now and then.

A good size Mug,especially for me,as I often get spasms/shakes when trying to be careful, due to MS. The dual wall construction works well to keep drinks hot for longer and they have a good size, sturdy handle. The set of 2 mugs comes with coasters for your surfaces,which also help protect the mugs from minor ipact.

These glass double wall coffee cups arrived in perfect condition and with free yellow coasters (thank you PunPun) they are ideal for large latte or cappuccino coffees made in a Delonghi fully automatic coffee machine. They have washed well in the dishwasher too, just don’t let anything else in the dishwasher lean on them in the top tray. They keep the coffee warmer for much longer than regular porcelain/ceramic mugs we’ve found.
