Are these easy to write on, or are they quite shiny / do they make the ink smear?

They are very good, can write on them easily

Very poor adhesion, curling off paper and card, anyone else had to constantly use sellotape?

I've had no problems with these labels. They seem to stick to virtually anything although I use them primarily for address labels and sticking to food bags to go in the freezer.
