Nektar Pacer USB MIDI Footswitch Controller with Nektar DAW Integration

I was hesitant to buy this because of reviews saying that it was difficult to set up. It isn't totally intuitive but it is a powerful bit of kit with a lot of features and it comes with a manual which I found straightforward to follow and managed to get it to do everything I need within a few hours. I'm mainly using it to control a Korg Wavestate, playing chords and triggering loops, etc.. I've also tried it with Logic Pro and that was really easy to set up and looks like it will be useful even though that's not what I bought it for. It is very solidly built and has a quality feel about it.

I don't normally comment, but this thing is really good. it is super well made, very program-able, adaptable and reliable. I really like it.

bought to replace a behringer fcb1010 and it is a MASSIVE upgrade. Really well designed, feels quality, and it just works - where the fcb1010 just doesn't.

This thing is built like a tank, works great with my Axe Fx.

There is no information on how to set this up either online or in the supplied manual. It will function as a basic DAW transport controller with a little bit of setting up but unless you have nothing else ever to do in your life don't even think about trying to customise it as a MIDI controller. I use an Akai MPK88 perfectly well as a MIDI controller so I know how MIDI control should work but I spent a soul-destroying weekend trying to guess (the only possible way to work it out) how to make the Nektar Pacer function with Mainstage before deciding I have better things to do with my life and it's straight back for a return.

OK it is a bit tricky to program - but if you want it to do more than make tea it is always going to be challenging. If you are reading this you already know what it does, but you might not know there is a free third party editor available online or to download as an app which makes it a dream to program. So well-built and connects to virtually all midi devices. Best bit of kit ever

Having to use the weird janky online preset builder wasn't ideal, but it did work. Would be nice if there was a 1st party app for the same application and more instruction.Manual was unusable for creating presets on the actual pedal.Cant fault build quality or function, and the relays are very useful.

Good unit whilst it worked, but after 18 months of ownership, barely being used in the studio, it completely died. Stick with the FCB1010, those things are built to last a nuclear war

Super buena calidad. Esta cosa se siente que va a resistir todo. La estoy usando con un Line 6 HX Stomp y funciona de maravilla. También lo puedo usar con mi DAW Reaper para controlar grabar, reproducir, seleccionar pista, etc... Por el precio por el que lo compré creo que fue una super ganga. Muy recomendado.

If you are a live Producer or a loop artist this is Amazing.The drawback is that this comes with very less information , So if you are a tech-geek-musician this is cool else you have to look for tutorials LIKE I'M DOING. LOL !!!

Ce pédalier Midi est solide comme un tank, et rappelle les anciens Boss GT.Il se programme sur l'écran LCD mais il existe surtout une appli web de paramétrage qui permet sans effort et de façon intuitive d'éditer, copier les programmes, de créer des enchaînements d'actions, ... Le midi pourtant assez difficile d'accès aux débutants d'habitude devient un plaisir
