Yes when the 1st layer starts to come off it will start to get rough but I've had jawbreakers this way and then there's jawbreakers that are pure smoothness as you eat each layer also but these aren't it for that 1st layer. I can taste the flavors also. It was a win for me

I got the five pack of huge jawbreakers. I am so addicted to disease. I’ll keep buying them as like every night. I have to have part of the job in Douglas and then I start my next jailbreaker. I keep telling my kids I bought them for them and then I eat it myself I share with the husband, but he only him just wanted to say thank you for making the best jawbreakers in the world. They taste so good and I would definitely indefinitely indefinitely. Keep buying from you more and more.

These are pretty good standard giant jawbreaker that keep me busy. Great deal.too you get 4 for $17 and some sellers want $20 for just one in the same size. Halfway thru I smack it with a hammer to break it up. Gets tedious trying to lick, lick and lick and get it down to a manageable size

People who have bought these before and complained about the texture... you, are obviously oblivious to the 90's when these were popular without the sticks... If your (childs) tongue is bleeding, and you are complaining, then you obviously don't remember, they DO that! If you don't like the bloody tongue part.. then take a butter knife and gently scrape the paint splatters away from the area they are licking (while its still some what hydrated)... they DO NOT taste of chemicals; they are the correct jawbreakers from the 90's... ALSO!! Complaining about colors..... SERIOUSLY??? The listing even specifies that the colors are random.. get over it! I got ugly colors too, but who cares? It's all the same!

This is my children complain that it did tear their mouths up but it was worth it

I'm a former smoker that is now addicted to hard candy. I love jawbreakers, but the regular ones have to be held by hand until they are small enough to pop in your mouth. Made it hard to work or do anything while enjoying the jawbreaker. With these on the stick, I can do my day to day stuff without getting candy on my hands. So glad I found them.

I was hoping that these would be the kind of jawbreakers I remembered as a kid. They are! The first layer turns really rough and shreds your tongue, just like it always has. Then underneath every layer has so much flavor!Each lollipop is shrink wrapped. There were 4 in a bubble pack. They all got here in one piece.I wish this brand also made them smaller and in one pound bags.I actually cannot think of a single bad thing to say about these.
