I love the information from the original edition; however, this version is revised to fit modern society and I appreciate that but feel it’s missing a bit of the more traditional values. I own both and utilise the information from both versions. I have read the Emily Post etiquette book; however, nothing quite beats the Vanderbilts book.

The correct book arrived well packaged and fast, in good condition.

The original version of this book published in the 1960s I read and found very useful. It has since been updated and contains useful, common-sense etiquette that you would do well to follow.

Though I am very fond of this new edition, it definitely is not the original. I have a copy of the original 1952 version and purchased this one to prevent further wear on my original copy as I reference it quite often. This edition, though very resourceful, simply is not the original. If you are looking for a modern book on etiquette with a more American view of things, this is a great book. That being said, as stated in the front cover this is a “rewrite” and not a revision, so a great deal of the original information has been changed or removed, especially pertaining to traditional European etiquette.

I purchased this book last year for Christmas for my Mother. This was on her Amazon wishlist. the book was cheap and shipped very fast. Not to mention the price is great for how big this book is. Will definitely take some months to read. My mother enjoys this books, reads it often, learns a lot, both her and I would recommend the purchasing of this book.

This is an excellent book! Etiquette seems to have become a thing of the past, particularly in the workplace. I have enjoyed bringing to attention several aspects of bad form to some of my colleagues, one of the most annoying ones which is interrupting someone while they are speaking. I'm considering giving copies as gifts for Christmas!

Old standard. Never out of date. I ordered it for myself and my son ended up taking it. He’s. 35 year old private chef. He found a lot of good information in the book that would help his business

Everyone should own this book. Would make a wonderful gift to a young adult relative.
