Super Burp! #1 (George Brown, Class Clown) [Krulik, Nancy, Blecha, Aaron] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Super Burp! #1 (George Brown, Class Clown) Review: Great beginner chapter book series! - If you are looking for a book to get a young reader to really enjoy reading the George Brown series is it! These stories are fun and full of kid humor. Review: If your child loves the Diary of the Wimpy Kid series... - Our son was reluctant to read this book at first. However, since he absolutely loved the Diary of the Wimpy Kid series (he just turned 8 and has read ALL of the Diary series in 3 months), I wanted him to give these books a try. From the previous reviews I read before making the purchase, I thought this series would be sort of similar. I've been having our son read out loud on the way to school in the carpool line and we are both constantly laughing! George Brown is a loveable, silly 4th grader- although the cover of the book made me think he'd be much younger. His body seems to overtake him at times and he just can't help what comes out- in this book, it's "super burps." The burps get him into trouble and from there, the fun really begins! I give this book 5 stars because it's great for young boys who might not enjoy reading. It's light-hearted and goofy and there are pictures which enhance the storyline. I also like that it is a series so that we can see how the character evolves and what antics George will do next!

Funny
I bought this for my son who reads above grade level, he just isn't interested in spending alot of time reading. He has a good sense of humor so I thought a funny book might entice him to read for the enjoyment of it. Defintely did the trick, he laughed out loud and he is on to the 2nd in the series. It is probably a little below his level, but it did what it was intended - to help him learn to read for fun.

Good book.
A little slow at the beginning of the book but our 7 year old grandson enjoyed the book. He asked for the next one.

Great series geared towards boys.
This is a great series that my 6 year old LOVES. I am old school and was a little concerned about the body sounds humor...but it is fine. He liked it so much he just read the fourth book in the series by himself in about a day. I would say this is a second grade reading level and up.

got this for my daughers class and they hit the spot
My D teaches 2nd grade and chapter books for boys who are new readers are hard to find. We bought the whole set and they hit the spot exactly. We may have to buy another series and the boys seem to be blowing through these very quickly with attests to the fit for this age and gender

Decent book for my 7 year old boy. Quite a lot of American school language. Weak plot.
