This seat is very sturdy and comfortable. My only complaint is that the back is a little too straight. I solved this with an inexpensive mesh lumbar support. The quality is excellent. I didn't find any defects in the welds or the stitching. It was easy to assemble and doesn't feel flimsy at all. Having the wheel and pedals stay in place makes it easier to play. The plate that holds the pedals is anchored at the bottom, so will flex a bit due to leverage when you press the pedals hard, but I got used to that pretty quickly. The support for the wheel doesn't move around at all. I didn't get the optional shifter mount since my wheel has paddle shifters. The seat is comfortable to use for long periods. The cushions are firm and supportive. The bottom cushion lifts off so you can vaccuum under it, which is handy when you have pets that like to sleep on it. The seat is a velvety fabric with leather on the headrest, and leather accents at your shoulders and thighs. "Playseat" is embroidered in the headrest, a nice touch to add to the feeling of sitting in an expensive race car.

I bought this l along with the Gearshift Holder Pro to mount my Logitech G920 and Driving Force Shifter. It was delivered quickly and assembly was straightforward. The seat, pedals, and wheel are exceedingly adjustable and the seat can comfortably fit kids and adults. The folding mechanism in the seat is also very practical and makes storing it effortless. Adding onto this, the Alcantara finish feels premium and helps make the chair tremendously comfortable. Additionally, the Gearshift Holder Pro is an extremely solid piece of kit and does not flex at all when shifting. However, the seat is not perfect and has a couple drawbacks. The first drawback is the small amount of flex on the pedal mount. It is barely noticeable except for under hard braking so if you are mounting a heavier load cell you may need to reinforce it. The second drawback is the chair squeaks if you move around in it. It too is barely noticeable unless you are exerting an immense amount of force onto the brakes, causing your back to push into the seat. Overall, the seat has a premium feel and is an excellent beginner cockpit. It has all the features you need, and for the $279.99 I got it for, it is an excellent deal.

Its a decent starter rig best suited for belt driven wheel bases. Easy to assemble and reasonably comfortable. Lots of adjustability. If you plan on upgrading gear later on, don't waste your time with this though. Wish I would of done more research beforehand. There is WAY too much flex in this for any kind of Direct Drive wheel base, or even a high torque belt driven base. For nearly the same price as this, you can get entry level aluminum stock rigs that offer lots of room to upgrade later on and are rock solid If you have pets or a dusty environment, DO NOT get the Alcantara. Learned this the hard way. Everything sticks to it like a magnet, and its extremely difficult to clean

Got this for my boyfriend and he loves it. He especially likes that it folds down easily for storage and he says it is very comfortable. It’s also pretty lightweight, so not difficult to move around. Would buy again!

This particular playseat black alcantara is ok but not great. After adding on the shifter kit and the seat slide, mine came out to a price close enough that I should have gotten the next level racing seat, the one that doesn't have the steering bar and bracket right between the legs. I did push the Logitech g29 pedals all the way to the left to keep my left foot from battling with this steering equipment. It's still a nuisance and my feet still somewhat compete with the steering equipment. I will be selling this one down the road only because I felt a return would be a pain due to repackaging this playseat. If your are able to afford this seat, I recommend saving a bit more money and considering a different one. I am not positive if the next level racing, or extreme simracing seat would be better all around, but I wish that I had spent another couple hundred on it. I'm sorry playseat, this steering support is terrible. After using for a few months, I've realized how loud this racing rig is and how much it flexes when in use. I stream and when i went back to watch one of my videos, I could hear the playseat being unbelievably loud and creaky. It makes a lot of sound. I do not recommend. Another update- I purchased the Next Level Racing gtTrack. The gtGtack is a solid, non flex frame, and doesn't make a bunch of noise. My Playseat evolution is now for sale.

I bought this to replace my Playseat Challenger as it was getting a little tight around the thighs. Assembly was fairly easy. Once I got it assembled the issue became positioning. The wheel stand is a major inconvenience. The center post gets in the way. It's only adjustable at an angle so if you want it higher that also means it moves closer to you. I had to keep repositioning stuff because I would move one thing and then something else didn't feel right. I even ended up adding spacers to the front of the seat to help. In the end I have the seat and pedals where I want them, but the wheel is too low. It really doesn't fold up the small either. For this price I wouldn't recommend. I would've stayed with my Challenger if I could have. I've had it for 2 days and have already contemplated selling it and buying a different one.

Great seat, at 6ft 5inches i was worried that i was going to be 'too big' for it but it is fully adjustable and is fine for someone my height. Quality made product, very study and my logitech g29 fits to the seat perfectly. If youve got the room then these seats are a must.
