Tripp Ultra Lite Black Medium Suitcase

Bought this suitcase for my holiday as it was reduced (£79.50 at the time of writing this review) and I needed a new suitcaseIts a lovely shade of blue, won't stand out too much on the carousel though so will be putting luggage belts and tags on to make it easier to spotThere's a large pocket on the outside of the suitcase, but no pockets inside, there are straps to fasten your clothes down with thoughThe case has 4 wheels which move and swivel well, I've only moved it about empty so far, but it seems OK. You also get a handle at the side and the top, plus an extending handle, which moves up and down easily, doesn't stick so that's goodThis suitcase is lightweight but seems quite sturdy too, it doesn't expand though, so what you see is what you get, but should be roomy enough to pack a fortnights worth of stuff. It comes with a small padlock and 2 keys, although I'll probably not use these as they're not TSA approved (we go to the US a lot) but should be ok for European travelOverall I'm really happy with this suitcase, if I have any problems after I've used it then I'll update this review, but at the moment I'm happy to recommend

Great value suitcase, includes a 5 year garuntee. It's so light weight that I was slightly concerned that I'd gotten the correct size when I took the box inside. But it's perfect for travel, you won't be wasting any weight allowance on the bag itself. Luggage strap inside to keep everything secure, the front pocket is large so that can be utilised well. The handle on top is thick and sturdy, there's also a retractable handle which is great. The wheels maneuver easily, overall really satisfied with this product.

Bought this a few years ago, I use it several times a year and it has not aged well. Wish I'd spent a bit more and bought a higher quality one. In particular, zip handle came off, which is just low quality. THe frame/body ends up being a bit flimsy which means it does not roll as smoothly as I'd like. Has no internal pockets. At least it is light.

This is a decent sized suitcase that is easy to wheel. The colour makes it stand out on the airport carousel - always helpful. We've only taken it on two flights so far but it emerged without any marks.There are no interior pockets, which was fine for me but others might want something that holds the contents in a more organised way.All in all, seems really good, especially for the price.

Love the stylish colour, the hard wearing fabric and zips. Nice and light for carrying if you want. Some reviews have said it is small..just to give you an idea, it is a perfect fit for my computer rucksack. Also excellent for a weekend away. Great buy and value for money, exactly what I wanted.

Bought this for a 5 week trip to Australia and New Zealand and it was a great case. The case is lightweight, which meant I could pack more and stay under the weight limit. It was easy to wheel around and pickup and move about. I would recommend this case.

Bought from Tripp. Returned as it was supposed to be a gift. Pros; 1. it met the precise spec of 55x35x20 cms for carry-on for a particular airline my partner uses. 2. Quite light - but at a structural cost. Cons; 1. Felt flimsy compared to 'Generic' non-branded £5-£10 cheaper model we already had. 2. Appeared glued rather than rivetted at the base. 3. No internal zipped compartment. 3. IT WAS CLEARLY A RETURNED ITEM!! See pictures. My first hint was the missing zipper tag on the internal lining, which was half undone upon opening. The outer protective plastic bag was tucked inside an outer pouch. Then I checked the wheels...dirty!? I suspect the previous user just needed it for one trip (for a specific airline - ever-changing luggage rules are a cynical extra earner for airlines!). Perhaps they broke the zip to give them an excuse to return it after their trip? Who knows? But surely Tripp could have at least wiped the wheels and fixed the zip then rebagged it. UNSCRUPULOUS & LAZY BEHAVIOUR - sign of the times. Found a much better quality one with extra features (2 internal compartments & 8 wheels!) 'Italian Designer' model (52x36x19 cms) for just £18 more elsewhere. So things worked out for the better. Prompt sameday refund confirmation from Amazon - but we shouldn't let these 'chancer & cowboy (RE-)sellers ' get away such customer CONTEMPT!

I ordered these and immediately changed my mind to wanting hard shell cases however, the delivery was made and wow. Love them so I will be keeping them.They are very light yet feel substantial. They glide across the floor (including carpet), handle operates smoothly and has two heights.I ordered the medium and large.Large weighs 3kg and medium is 2.6kg. Both have Tripp padlocks and keys, they dont seem to be TSA approved however they will be fine to keep the cases locked in the hotel, they feel of a good quality too.The cases are a lovely blue colour, have a front pocket and come with 5 year guarantee. The medium fits inside the large case nicely - no room to spare once in.I am delighted with these and hope they perform as well as they look when I get round to using them!!They arrive in a box with the medium packed inside the large one, box felt that light that I wasnt sure if there were infact 2 in there!Have given 4 stars as not used yet, will update after my holiday!
