Do I need to dig a trench?

Yes. Dreamscape recommends a vertical trench about 4 inches deep. Install the edging radius-side up, then backfill so finished grade sits about 1/2 inch below the top.

Will a 24-foot kit create exactly 24 feet of installed border?

The kit contains 24 feet of total edging material. Because adjoining sections overlap at least 2 inches, the finished run will be slightly shorter. Plan your layout with overlap in mind.

Can I cut the edging or make corners?

Yes. Aluminum can be cut to length for custom layouts. For corners, start at the bottom edge and cut upward, stopping about 2 inches from the top, or roughly halfway up the edging, then bend to the desired angle.

Is E-Z Edge recommended for driveways or high-traffic areas?

E-Z Edge uses a 1/8-inch profile recommended for residential beds, walking paths, tree rings, and separation. Dreamscape recommends 3/16-inch edging for driveways and high-traffic areas.

How are the start and end of a run secured?

Simply secure the edging with the included spikes and compacted backfill around the start and end points.
