Park Tool DH-1 Dummy Hub

Only takes a few seconds to install. Very well made and amazingly simple. Makes cleaning your chain much easier, and much more effective. Once you get the rear tire out of the way, it's so much easier getting all of the components clean, particularly your brakes. Cleaning the chain is a snap. My favorite aspect is being able to lube the chain without having the extra lube all over your rear cassette. Much easier keeping your rear cassette consistently clean this way. This product is well worth the investment.

I had never heard of a dummy hub until I stumbled across this Park Tool product while searching for something else. I wasn’t totally sure if it would earn a spot in my shop, but since it was pretty inexpensive, I decided to order one and see. This simple little tool has greatly improved my bike maintenance and cleaning. I’m somewhat obsessive about keeping my drivetrain clean, but before the dummy hub, I would mostly leave my rear wheel in place and use a variety of methods to clean the chain, cassette, jockey wheels and chainrings. I did a decent job, but nothing compared to removing the wheel and having full access to all components. I now find grime in places I hadn’t seen before. I also find that while having the rear wheel removed, I take off the chain more frequently and do a deep cleaning there. It’s just simple to take the chain on and off with the dummy hub. I’m going to travel with my bike in a few weeks and plan to remove the wheels so I can transport the bike inside an SUV (for security). The dummy hub will be perfect for that and I’ll use a chain cover to protect the car’s interior. So, yes this simple little tool earned a spot in my shop. And even more, I’d replace it today if it went missing.

It's now easier than ever to remove my rear wheel to clean and adjust! This hub adapter saves the chain from resting/rubbing on the chainstay and makes cleaning the chain with my chain scrubber a breeze. I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to spend the cash on this simple accessory.

Ingenious little device. Used it a couple of times to clean my chain but I really can't say it's one of those things you really need. I would never remove my rear wheel just to lube and clean my chain but if I happen to have my rear wheel off, I would throw this on and it does make it a little easier mostly because you don't get a lot of excess lube on the cassette and cogs. I can clean and lube my chain as easy with the wheel on or this on. If you are one of those riders who likes a spotless chain, this won't get it any cleaner and you will be removing your chain occasionally to clean it anyway. I still gave it 4 stars because of it's build quality and design. For what it is intended to do, it does it well but I could easily live without it.

I have no idea what to do when it comes to fixing a bike. I was told to buy this tool to make it easier to repair or even clean the bike, I knew I had to try it out. It makes my life soo much easier, instead of having to clean the chain or the bike while it was dangling, all I would have to do is put the tool onto the bike and the chain is no longer dangling. I have no idea what the names are for the different parts of the bikes, but this tool works like it is supposed to and I highly recommend this item. I would definitely buy it again.

I ordered this product so I could easily clean the drivetrain of my bicycles, and I was not disappointed! The tool seems sturdy and well made. It was easy to install, and it fit all 3 of the quick-release frames I used it on (2 road bikes and 1 mountain bike). I would recommend this product for easy bike cleaning, and I hope to use it to travel!

Lo use para una cadena de 1 paso, queda algo salida pero al girar se ajusta bien, la use también en una KMC K1 y funciona muy bien, facilita mucho el mantenimiento de la cadena, sin duda lo recomiendo

As they say, 'you get what you pay for', or at least you hope you do and in this case they are spot on. Yes it does cost considerably more than most of the other tools of this type but it performs faultlessly and the build quality is excellent. The quick release is better quality than the ones on the wheels and they're not cheap wheels! Not sure if it fits 'Through Bolt' axles, but it works well on my road bike and my hard tail XC trail bike. Well done Park Tools.
