Extra fluffy!
This is excellent coco coir. It expands to an airy and light product that works great for both seed starting and bends for potted plants. The water runs through it quickly but remains full of moisture. What makes this particularly good coco coir is the expanded product is an especially fine grain, extra fluffy, and spongy (compared to other coco coir I’ve tried). I generally prefer coco coir over peat moss for both ecological reasons and the efficacy of coco coir over peat moss. This is particularly good coco coir and after using this product I don’t understand why people even bother with peat moss. Peat moss can easily dry into a solid bricklike substance whereas coco coir (especially this one) remains airy even if you accidentally under water. Since using this product there has been a noticeable improvement with my microgreen yield, my potted plants look happier, and the price point is reasonable. I’ve purchased this multiple times now and have been very satisfied every time. The only issue I have with it is it’s a rather large block and a bit of a commitment when you expand it to 15 gallons, but that is probably part of the reason it’s priced lower per volume than other products. To help avoid mold during storage I dry the expanded product in the oven on a low temperature (no hotter than 180 F). Higher temperatures release toxins into the soil like ammonium which are bad for plants so if you do this, keep the oven no hotter than 180 F. Then I combine it with 1 part vermiculite for 6 parts coco coir for an especially fluffy grow medium.

Perfect!
Fantastic for growing gourmet mushrooms! Does not have additives that would be harmful for a grow, which is a relief after having a huge trichoderma disaster with another brand! Plus, the discs are the perfect size for fruiting a colonized 1qt jar! Very convenient :)

Great stuff
I had never used this before, so I was really curious. That little 1/2” high disk expanded to over 4” high!! Lots of soft fluffy dirt. I combined it with vermiculite and regular garden soil to plant some bulbs in a flowerpot. It was just the right weight/consistency. Worked great, my bulbs seem to be happy with it, they are sprouting. Smells fine, seems to hold a good amount of water, no bugs, normal color. So I am glad I discovered this. I had no idea there was such a thing, until someone on u-tube suggested it for planting cuttings. So once my little geraniums root, they will be planted in more of this, and probably all my patio plants as well next spring. I love that it is versatile, inexpensive and environmentally friendly.

The. Best. Coco. Available. Period.
HANDS DOWN the BEST COCO I've used! EVER. The last batch of coco coir that I ordered (it was super inexpensive, so I thought I'd give it a try as I was short on funds) came in tiny bricks, and actually had little pieces of plastic and trash in it. Ugh. (This was NOT that company.) This is the best growing medium I've found, and I've used a lot of different kinds of coco coir. T I've used the bagged stuff with perlite in it (FoxFarms and others, and fwiw, I've since found its better to just buy & mix your own in, if you need it!), the blocks and bricks, and so on. But... THIS has been the best I've ever found and used. Clean, fluffy, pure and top quality. DEFINITELY recommend!!! Thank you, for offering a great product for us growers! It certainly takes the pain out of all of the research, trial and error, once you've found the best! I'm sticking with this brand and this company, from here on out. No doubt about it. 🌱🌱🌱🌹🌹🌹🍎🍎🍎

Great growing medium
I recently purchased the Minute Soil - Compressed Coco Coir Fiber Grow Medium in the 80 MM pucks (10 pack) to grow cat grass for my feline friend, Jo Jo, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice! The convenience of these compressed coco coir pucks is fantastic. Each puck expands tremendously when soaked in water, transforming into a rich, fluffy growing medium. I was amazed at how much each puck expanded—within moments, they turned into a generous amount of soil, ready for planting. It made the whole process super easy and hassle-free! Once I planted the cat grass seeds in the expanded coco coir, the growth was impressive. The medium allows for excellent drainage while retaining just the right amount of moisture, creating an ideal environment for the grass to thrive. Jo Jo took to the grass quickly, enjoying every bite of the fresh greens. I really appreciate that the coco coir is a sustainable growing medium, which is another plus. It’s perfect for anyone looking to grow plants or indulge their pets in a more environmentally friendly way. Overall, Minute Soil has definitely met my expectations, and I highly recommend these pucks to anyone interested in growing cat grass or other small plants. They are easy to use, effective, and provide great results!

Be careful!! Their blocks do not weigh 12 lbs!!
Inconsistent black weight!! I bought the six pack of what was supposed to be 12 pound blocks and after weighing each block, I have found that the weight range from 8 1/2 pounds to 11 3/4 pounds, 9 1/2 being the average weight None of them weighed the 12 pounds they were supposed to. I use these materials as part of my livelihood and having consistency makes a huge difference I was really hoping that this company would be solid all the way around. The product itself seems to be legit tho. No issues there What can you guys do to fix this inconsistency?
