kids love it and learn to read
I got a ton of these Disney CD Read Along Books for my first grade listening center. My kids really love them since many of my students are already familiar with most of these stories. This seller was better than others. wish they had more of these. My daughter is not a fan of the car- just never has been a great car rider. I found these about a year ago and this has been so helpful. At first (18 months old), she would just listen and enjoy the story. But now at 2.5 she asks so many questions and wants to know what happened and why this happened. It's a great alternative than listening to the elmo soundtrack!! And it's good memory work. She can say pretty much the entire book. This is a great way for parents to help their kids learn to read. I have the good dinasoaur as well for the read alongs. We started with the jake and the Neverland pirates. the only wish wold be the books would be longer. I end up listening to the same story about 19 times on the way to work.

This is one of several classics I have read while being relegated to "quarantine" status at home. As usual with a story better known for its Disney animated movie version than the original book it is striking how different the two are. To my childhood recollections Peter was a magical boy destined to never grow up, and also benevolent in character, or at least benign. In the book he is more of an urchin-like rascal (to be kind) or a punk (to be less kind). And Tinkerbell? YIKES! Pure Disney charm, right? Wrong. More like a fairy with an attitude, LOL. Makes me wonder if Jiminy Cricket was a shady insect or if Snow White was a closet coke addict! Well, it's not quite that bad but you get my drift. The book is a perfectly fine escape for kids or adults. It's only textual oddities stem from the ironic fact that, unlike Peter, the book is REALLY OLD, but charmingly so. There are some words and phrases that made no sense to me, but not many. The book clarifies most, but not all, of these. The story is great, timeless, and deep in its way. Formatting and font were a minor annoyance. It's a slim volume and the pages simply offer no air because of the format. The font may be problematic for older eyes so have your reading glasses handy. This edition offers no introduction, no About the Author, and nothing at the end other than THE END. It's a bare-bones book but it is basically readable and fine for kids (who could care less about all the extras). I'm glad I read it but it was not quite the story I was expecting. It actually struck me as more eerie than sweet or innocent but draw your own conclusions.

Love this
I love that this isn’t an electronic device! It’s old school. And my 5yr old son loves it too! We both miss that there’s no music. And the story is a very short version. But it’s worth the experience.

cute story
My niece really enjoyed this book and just loved that the CD read it to her. The only minor complaint is that I wish it was made with a little bit sturdier material. It seemed to bend very easily, so not sure that it will last until her sibling is ready to use it. Otherwise it is a great product and my niece really enjoyed it !

Interesting Peter Pan Read-Along Storybook & CD!
I was very excited for this read-along story book of Peter Pan, but a bit disappointed. The same narrator as Lion King (At least it seems). Not my favorite narration. The "character" voices are not even close to what they are in the movie. From someone who has seen the movie a million times, I feel like it takes away from the story. If you are going to have 'character' voices, they need to be very similar or the ones from the movie, otherwise it takes away from the story. I was hoping to hear more emotion from the narration, but it's not there. Still a great story, and my toddler still loves to listen to it on repeat, but it's just a tad more challenging for me to sit through!

A favorite
These story book CD's are the best for bedtime. My boys used to listen to them on cassette and now my grand kids listen to on CD. They can listen to the story once the lights go out. They have several different stories but Peter Pan is a favorite.

Peter Pan Read-Along Storybook and CD
I haven't actually read or played this CD yet as I ordered quite a few for my two baby grandsons for Christmas. I did however read and listen to Aladdin along with my auntie. We thought it was absolutely brilliant. You couldn't help but listen to it the whole way through. I am so glad I ordered as many as I did. I know these will be cherished for years.

NOT AS GOOD AS I THOUGHT
MY SON DIDNT LIKE THIS MUCH . THE CD RECORDING WAS VERY RUSHED AND NOT SO ENTERTAINING AND THE SIZE AND QUALITY OF THE BOOK IS NOT STURDY AND LUXURIOUS AS I HAVE SEEN WITH OTHER BOOKS OF THE SAME TYPE I HAVE ORDERED BEFORE - BIT DISAPPOINTING

Great book...
... as all those books that come in this format. It's very similar to the dvd, the cd contains the same voices and songs from the movie and the lenght is appropriate to a bedtime story, unlike other books that are way too long.
