Cast Away

I saw this years ago and loved it for entertainment's sake. But recently my kid was learning about Neanderthals the teacher recommended this movie. It is a very educational and cinematic example of how cavemen discovered ways to survive and make life easier! I felt like I saw it for the first time through my young student's eyes. Also, Hanks is such an amazing actor. He is funny and so likable, but also the scene when he sobs on his raft after losing something (someone) important to him (no spoilers!) is truly gut-wrenching. He dug deep for that moment. Amazing acting.

Good movie with Tom hanks

Whose heart doesn't break when Tom Hanks starts crying, "Wilson! Wilson!" when the volleyball, his constant companion through the years of being stranded on the island, starts floating away? This is Tom Hanks at his best. He plays the part expertly: being clueless at first on how to survive, useless attempts by spelling "Help" with the rocks so airplanes will see them, losing weight and growing the beard, becoming expert at catching food, and the thought of suicide at being stuck in such a situation. It's a great happy ending as he finally finds the owner of the one FedEx box that he kept through his experience. Great movie!

This movie proves that when you lose everything in your life due to unforeseen circumstances beyond your control; new opportunities come your way. Plus, you learn from any mistakes you’ve made that MAY have contributed to that without blaming yourself. You grow stronger & make improvements from lessons learned.

Tenía rato que quería cambiar mi película en DVD a blu ray y quedé muy satisfecho ya que la calidad del video y el audio es muy buena. Tiene audio inglés y español latino, excelente compra.

Sehr schöner Film

Cinque stelle sono ancora poche per questo film...visto anni fa in vhs, mi era piaciuto tantissimo e ora l'ho dinuovo acquistato in blu ray. Tom Hanks e un attore magnifico, un'interpretazione davvero spettacolare. Spedizione ok, arrivato con un giorno di anticipo. Consiglio l'acquisto.
