I've been a long-time Noalox user and, while I'll still use it to ensure threads don't seize, Ox-Gard has proven to be more effective at minimizing voltage drop issues in PVs. It's a bit darker than Noalox and also thicker in consistency. The latter is a good feature, as Noalox can be a bit on the runny side when it comes out of the tube. It offers the same lubrication and anti-seize benefits for threading (only needs just a wee bit to be effective - too much and you'll have a mess). But it really shines when it comes to improving conductivity. While Noalox is also conductive due to the suspended zinc particles, Ox-Gard offers better results. I use a dab at all contact points (battery, spring, posts, etc.) on all my mechanical PVs (Reo, iSeason, Sigelei, Legacy, Silver Bullet, Smok Telescope and an ELA) after cleaning, and have seen a nice improvement when measuring voltage drop under load. No, it won't turn a horrible PV design into a great one, but it will tweak out the best performance the PV is capable of. If you use mechanical PVs, this is a must-have. Highly recommend.

This anti oxidant is a must have specially in places like puerto rico with high humidity and oxidation. Product itself works great. What I dont like is the container. I accidentally pressed it cap fell out and half the content spilled

Use it for everything electrical. Work from me for cat 5 and cat6 poe connectors especially in wet and marine environments. Not more green or discoloured connected and jacks. Does not not. Seem to affect sped when runnning at I gbs.

The intended use for this product is, of course, improving the reliability of mechanical joints involving aluminum wires used for AC mains circuits where oxidation can pose a severe safety (fire) hazard. I bought it to try for something a little different. I have a small single-cell, single-mode (Yay! for simple on/off) LED flashlight which I really like except for the fact that the electrical connection between the end cap and the body seems to be surprisingly unreliable, presumably due to rapid oxidation of aluminum (aluminum oxide is an excellent electrical insulator). I frequently had to loosen and retighten the end cap to restore a low-resistance connection and the brightness of the light. Nothing seemed to work reliably to fix this problem. A very tiny amount of this product applied to a small area of the threads did the trick! Presumably the "oil" in the compound helps prevent oxidation while the zinc particles form electrically-conductive bridges between the cap and body threads.
