I use a time controlled lamp in my bedroom as part of my alarm system, together with regular alarm. The lamp was set to be on before the alarm sounds, to mimic the sun rise. Before buying this smart plug, I used an old style mechanic programmable timer for this purpose. The problem is that no only the timer is bulky about also not very accurate. The trigger time could be off by as much as 30 minutes. I have to manually adjust the switch to the time I need every time I need to change the alarm time, which is supper inconvenient, plus that it was still not accurate. After I got this smart plug, I installed it on my lamp right away. I set the on/off time I need from the app (download from Apple store following the instruction) and the lamp was on and off the next morning at exactly the time I need. Now the margin of error is only 30 seconds instead of 30 minutes. You can also program it to whatever you need. Love it and recommend it.

I LOVE this smart plug! I have three brands and this was definitely the easiest to install. It took me less than 30 seconds! I had the app installed already for my smart bulbs. I plugged it in, did a long press on the power button and my device picked it up almost immediately. Just as quickly I heard Alexa tell me that my smart plug was ready to use and a notification popped up as well. These are a must have for Christmas light. They automatically turn my lights on and off in all the hard to reach outlets. I highly recommend it!

This plug does NOT cover both outlets...although it may be a tight squeeze for the 2nd plug. I recently bought an Amazon Echo Dot and have been upgrading to a "Smart Home" so figured I'd try a round plug out instead of buying another Amazon Smart Plug. This thing was super easy to set-up in the Smart Life app. I currently have my Christmas tree plugged into it and have a schedule applied to turn on at 4:30 pm and turn off at 10:00 pm...this is so much easier than using those old rotary timers!!

I cannot get item to work

I read all the reviews and overall the main issue was connectivity. I am very tech savvy so didn’t think this would be an issue. Unfortunately the set-up was a nightmare. The instructions are in minuscule letters so make sure you have a magnifying glass. After 45 minutes of contacting the company and trying everything possible I finally got it to connect. 2 major cons-poor customer service help and connectivity issues. The most important pro is that when you get it to work it does work great from anywhere.

We own four of these which we purchased to allow us the remotely control lights inside and outside of our barn which is about 100 feet from our house. They work just as advertised, both with Alexa and the Smart Life AP on our cell phones, making it easy to turn on and off lights which do not have switches in our house. We may purchase additional plugs; that is how pleased we are.

This is my first time to give a review on Amazon. This plug is a very good product. It come with an instruction, and there is a QR code outside of box for scan to download the APP. It's super easy to set up for everything you need, ( I even not read the instruction and only took 5 mins to set it up). I love it, and will to order more for my house in every room :)

We used to have another smart plug before, but somehow it didn’t work. This time I decide to give this product a try. It comes with an instruction, and just follow the steps on it. It is easy to use. Now I can use it to control my Christmas tree light by using its timer, and turn on the living room light when I am not home. It makes my life smarter and easier. It is highly recommendable.
