Very Nearly 5 Stars
If you look at my reviews, I rarely give things five stars. I'm usually at a 4 because I research stuff before I buy it so I generally like what I get, but there's usually something wrong with the item that could be improved. It's really about a 4.5 or 4.8 review with the only major complaint I have being that the screen was already getting light scratching after one day of use being safely in a men's shirt pocket. Also, the edges on the front collect dirt easily in the crevices, but it's not too hard to clean so that's minor. I lost my old fitness tracker and wanted something cheap, that had good battery life, measured my steps accurately, and since I got spoiled I wanted something I could have in a pocket instead of needing to put it on my belt for accuracy. This device met all of those criteria with flying colors. You'll want to keep the instructions since the setup isn't intuitive, but since you rarely have to change the battery it's not too big a deal; estimates of 9-12 months battery life are what I've seen, but I haven't had it long enough to attest to that. It takes a 2032 battery and you'll either need the screw driver that comes with it or a glasses one like you get at a dollar store to change the battery. After tweaking my stride setting a bit I was able to test it repeatedly with 300 steps and got results that were either exactly right or within 1% of the real value. It also has a neat feature that doesn't count steps until you've taken multiple ones in a row so it's not counting up, at least more than a tiny bit, when I'm riding in the car. That's a big plus I didn't even realize I wanted. It's so light weight I forget it's even in my pocket. --Update 12/11/15-- I added a screen protector for a PSP that I cut down to size so that's solved the screen scratching problem.

Easy to use, easy to lose!
The Omron HJ-320 pedometer was exactly what I wanted. I didn't need bells and whistles, and this model provides plenty of information. I liked the memory feature. I also liked that I could check my activity in both the number of steps I took and in miles. The original set-up was easy, even for a granny like me. The little screen was easy to read. The pedometer recorded accurately, even when I just tucked it into a pocket rather than using the clip. I liked mine so well that I got one for my handicapped husband. Because his mobility is severely limited, his did not record well until we clipped it to his shoe, where it worked fine. It was remarkable how this little gadget motivated him to do more walking! Unfortunately, the clips are not infallibly secure. I lead a fairly active life, and from time to time I needed to check that my pedometer was not slipping out of the slot which holds it on the clip. It ended up that we both lost our pedometers because they became detached without our realizing it. My next pedometer will definitely be an Omron, but I will look for a lanyard-style model that can be worn around the neck, or a wristwatch style.

Simple, effective, and cheap
Bought this for my wife. It counts daily strides and distance walked, nothing else. It can't be turned on or off, though the display blanks after a bit to save on the battery. Each day, so long as you wear it, it accumulates your strides. You can look at your totals at any time. At midnight it resets everything to zero and saves your totals. The most recent seven days' totals are always available and can be scrolled though. Older days are lost. So basically after the first setting you do nothing; you either wear the unit or you don't. Initial setup is pretty easy -- measurement units, stride length, and current time. The unit comes with a slide on clip, which my wife uses to hold it to the waist of her pants, or you can leave the clip off and put the unit in a pocket. There is also a small screwdriver to change the battery when necessary. It's a *very* small screwdriver, so keep it somewhere safe and remember where you put it! The unit itself is small and thin and almost weightless, but the display is big enough to read. It doesn't much care about orientation since it has a 3-axis accelerometer, which is nice. So, strides and distance walked. Nothing else. It won't tell you how many calories you've burned or your weight on Jupiter, and it won't connect with your computer. But if it meets your needs in a pedometer, it's simple, well-designed, and cheap.

Small & Accurate
It's a nice little thing, especially for the price. I've tried numerous times with how accurate it is--and it is VERY accurate. All you have to do is stick it in your pocket, and it's small enough to forget it's even there, and the slim shape makes it so you don't need to worry about it falling out. I also like how it has the memory--it seems to add a bit of motivation to move more so you have more on your record. I was lucky enough to get it right before they turned it into an add-on item! The size is very compact and it fits in a pocket well. It's 3 inches long, and about 1 1/8th of an inch wide, and about a third of an inch thick (without the clip). It's very small, About a third of the size seems to be solely for the brand name, and I think if they make an update they should take that part off and put the brand name somewhere else--make it just that much smaller! Also, it takes a minute or two to set it up (which isn't a bad thing). And when you run, it counts each step as one step (I think they're supposed to--I'm not a professional). I would recommend it to anyone who wants a simple and accurate pedometer.

Daily steps and distance with accuracy
I got this pedometer for a couple of reasons.... I only cared about steps taken, I wanted to use my own personal stride, and I wanted accuracy. I have gotten all of that. I don't trust a pedometer that doesn't allow you to enter your stride length (I feel that they are not accurate). This stores a week's worth of data. It automatically resets every night at midnight. It does have a bit of a "lag". When you start walking it will not show your steps on the counter until you have gone 5-10 steps. Don't worry, it will still count those steps taken. I have counted numous times and it is always with in a couple of steps. It does come with a clip. It fits snuggly on the tops of pants or in a pocket. This also works with biking too! This is a perfect minimalist Pedometer that doesn't have any bells and whistles but you are also not having a huge price tag for it. *If this review had helped in anyway, tap "helpful". Thanks

Didn't work for me.
It may be the fact that I use a walker, but I expected a body-worn pedometer to be more accurate than my watch or phone. Both watch and phone return readings that are off by 10-15%. The pedometer's readings were always off by at least 50% and, in one case, by 90%. I carried it in a pocket where the sensors should capture accurate data. This device gets generally good reviews, so it might be just me. This is probably not related, but the device was not shipped in a box. (see photo)

Basic pedometer - nothing fancy. Met my needs
If you are looking for a computer interactive pedometer or one with a lot of features, pass this up. It is a basic, accurate, step counter with a 7 day memory and a few other features and that is it. I wanted something simple to count steps and convert to feet and miles. This inexpensive tool fit the bill, but remember - you get what you pay for. It does not tell me how many minutes I walked; the measurement calculation for inches does not have a decimal point. It was a bit difficult to set up. We had to read the instructions 5 or more times and I still goofed but my husband managed to change it. However, as I said, I decided to keep it because all I wanted was an approximation of how far I walked in order to set a walking goal. It does not interact with any computer or app. You will have to set up an Excel or similar program to keep track of results. That is easy. It does have a 7 day memory which I really do not need but is nice to have.

Accurately counts steps, but....
.....doesn't give me enough information. This is 100% more accurate in counting my steps than a Fitbit Flex 2, though. I prefer the Omron HJ-321 for giving me more information other than step counting, distance and the time. This doesn't give me aerobic steps, nor does it give me the calories burned. The HJ-321 does. With the Fitbit Flex 2, which I ended up returning, it would count arm movement; I use my arms a lot at my bank job, and it was giving me step totals 4 times what they should have been. I keep this Omron in my pocket and it's very accurate.

Simple and effective
Works great, tracks relatively accurate. Measures in steps and kilometres (or miles), keeps data for a week. Fairly easy setup, and it's small enough to fit in any of my pockets so it doesn't have to show.

Excellent
I bought this to use with a weight loss app and it was important for me to do a set amount of steps a day. This is so a curate as you have to first measure your stride and enter it in to the pedometer. It also tells you how many miles or kilometers you have walked and a clock. So easy to use. I wear it every day just clip it on to my belt trousers or even on to my bra and it never falls off.

Accurate until it stopped working properly
This was a good, accurate product, but within a couple of months, it would not let me reset the distance walked which rendered it pretty much useless. However, this company allowed me to return the device unlike the company I first brought the same product from over on Ebay. This was my final attempt to locate an Omron device that worked for more than a couple of months. Sadly, every device I bought had the same problem, however, this company was the only one to allow me to return the device (although I don't think I've heard back from them yet).
