Hawaiian Host AlohaGems

Taste is subjective, so my review is based on my own personal preferences. I lived in Hawaii for several years back in the 70's and these were by far the best then. I bought some of these last December at a special, limited-time Christmas price from somewhere else and loved them so much I bought several more boxes for several friends. Alas, when the time limit was done, so were the HH Aloha Gems. So I found them here on Amazon and ordered some more for myself. It was very gratifying to know that the quality has not diminished (or changed with the intent of "improving" it) in the last 40 years. Somebody else gave us some of another brand and they weren't half as good as these. I will not buy any other brand. I will either buy more of these or ask my nephew who now lives in Hawaii to send me some!

These sweets are something you will not find in store. I’ve been trying to find them everywhere, but nothing. A good size and weight box, so It can be a nice present as well. My concern was it could be not really fresh, because you can’t check the expiration date, as you can do in shops. But they came wonderfully fresh and delicious 😋 made of good ingredients, what is important for me - no palm oil.

These things are dangerously, life-wreckingly good. First you try one, then you back for seconds. Next thing you know, you've consumed the whole box, it's 3AM and you're scrounging amongst the couch cushions for change to buy another box. Looking through the yellow pages for 24-hour pawn shops. Eager to trade your plasma-screen for just a taste.Little known fact: The government introduced Aloha Gems to the suburbs specifically to keep candy enthusiasts at the mercy of "The Man." And "The Man" is a Hawaiian chocolatier in a grass skirt.

Bought these for my parents for Christmas. They always ship well. Anytime I go to Hawaii, I eat my weight in these choco-mac delights. Yes! They really are THAT good!💯

$27 is a bit pricy, but they are delicious

I love these so I ordered from here. So disappointed when it arrived. Box was crushed/damaged and missing the plastic outer wrapping. It appears that someone had previously opened and did a very poor job taping with packing tape. I obviously won't be enjoying these as they are going straight to the trash, not sure why these were previously opened, scary :(

We give these as a Christmas gift - every year for our son. He would be disappointed if he did not receive them. So much easier than bringing home from Hawaii and just as good :)
